ladies.. how are you on this Sunday afternoon??

well i was talking to my friends the other day and they where saying that if your bump is low down then you having a boy!! and if it's high up then your having a girl!!

and also if you are really have bad morning sickness thought or half of you pregnancy then you having a girl.. and if your fine and not as bad then it';s a girl!!
kind of the same with the scans.. if your baby is curled then your having a boy and if your baby is not then it's a girl


now are theses true?? anyone experience this or do you think it's true

well my bump is high up, i have been puking for the past 14 weeks and its a boy so i'd take it all with a pinch of salt

I heard that if your bump is round then its a girl, if its pointish then its a boy

With my last one I had a round bump it was laying quite low I had no morning sickness, perfect skin, feeling great through out and I have a beauty girl

As Cloud9 said, i'd take it all with a pinch of salt. Im carrying really low, but at my 20 week scan the Dr said best guess would be a girl, but the baby had its legs curled up so the stupid bint wouldnt have seen anything even if it was there . I'll have to wait until the end of march to tell you if its true

Don't take all these wives tales too seriously!!

It all depends on people's body shapes in my eyes and what weight they were pre-preg, general health issues etc.

I am carrying high, was nauseous in first trimester and have a very round bump and am having a boy. However, I know people that have been the same and been expecting girls.

Its rubbish in my eyes!

I dont believe in all that. The shape/position of your bump probably has more to do with how the baby is lying etc.

As for symptoms...well they vary in everyone. A woman expecting a boy could have exactly the same symptoms as a woman expecting a girl.

Only thing I trust to tell you the sex is an experienced sonographer and a baby that doesnt cross its legs!

Even an experienced sonographer can still get it wrong. I remember Lyn_no3 saying that she was told she was having a little girl 4 times, and she ended up having a boy !
The only thing that can tell you 100% the sex of a baby is an amniocentesis.

In my opinion they are a load of old b*llocks. I consulted so many online 'Chinese gender charts' and they all said I am having a girl as did most of the symptoms/characteristics described by old wives tales. My scan showed very clearly that I am having a boy.

At the end of the day you have a 50/50 chance of having a boy or girl so of course some of those old wives tales are going to be right for about 50% of pregnant women.

yeh that's what i thought......... every pregnancy is different and everyone does has different body shapes too... but as you said they is a 50/50 chance you'll just have to give birth and see

Think it all depends really, with Kiara i was on the higher side, very wide and big and nomornign sickness.
This time im not quite sure yet but i have lots of morning sickness.
I heard if it looks more liek a beach ball its a boy if its more like a watermelon its a girl, but hey its all in the fun of guessing

i heard the best one last week. someone asked me if i'd had much heartburn. he said he's heard that heartburn is common if you are having a boy cos they are more hairy than girls!!

everyone laughed and he said "i'll get me coat"
