Hi ladies,

CJ has a cold and is really struggling, I'm gonna put a bowl of hot steamy water under his basket, but wondered if I can add any olbas to it or not? I'm hating hearing him struggle to breath, and he will only sleep laid on me at the moment where as usual he is very settled!
Thanx in advance ladies xx

Hi,

Olbasoil is only recommended for babies over 3 months....not sure how old your LO is? My baby girl is 10 weeks and is also full of snuffles especially when laying down at night but I have found an Olbas Oil alternative called 4 little 1 Baby Nose Clear from Boots and this can be used from birth. I also prop her crib up slightly.
Hope this helps and I wish your LO better!

XxX

My LO is only 3 weeks old, I have the Moses basket propped up but it doesn't seem to help much! I will have a ride to boots, thanx for the advice :) x

Saline spray and a nose aspirator are the best. Really tecommended. plus have baby in room with you the door shut when you shower. Plus you can get children's olbas oil but can't remember what age from.

I was told a nose spray was too much for India, we got nose drops prescribed. And my friend is a gp and he said some olbas oil on a nearby cloth was fine...

My poor little munchkin is really noisy breathing today, sounds awful! He seems ok in himself though!
Feel useless today! :-( x
