so after our name wobbles we seem to have decided on our final names

girl

Lucy Alexandra
or
Jennifer Alice (although i also like the spelling as Alys as i have welsh roots)

boys

Luke Steven
or
Alexander John

so what do we think??

my fave girl name was Lucy, but now i hear Jennifer Alys i really am starting to change my mind. I also would've preferred luke alexander but hubbys dad was steven (passed away 14 years ago) and my dad is called stephen so it works well i think.

i dont like to say, but it starts with an S

Hard to say without hearing surname but I prefer Lucy/Luke :)

i still prefer luke but lucy/jennifer is toss up right now

We don't have any names sorted

Wait till you meet baby and choose out of the 2 :)

The are all lovely, I really love Lucy Alexandra. I prefer Luke for a boy but think Alexander is v nice too. Touch choice :-/

I really love the name Lucy, it's so pretty and classic. I like Jennifer as well but Lucy for me personally is just that little bit cuter.

Boy wise I prefer Alexander but once again it's because personally I love Alex and wanted my OH to consider it.

All your names are lovely. X

I do love Lucy but someone I know has a Lucy who is 13weeks old. She'll be in the same class at school but we'll see what baby looks like

And if it's a boy most likely luke

I actually like Jennifer.

Very pretty and quite unusual these days

X

Jennifer Alice is lovely and like carnat says it's less used nowadays. Classic and pretty. Lucy is lovely but quite overused round here.

I prefer Alexander John for a boy. Or not one of your options but John Steven sounds nice :) x

i dont like John as a first name..,. plus baby is due close to my grandad's birthday (he died in june 2012) and he was called him john he would be constantly compared to my grandad by famnily...

I like Jennifer because it can be mnodified to suit them as they grow. We would probably refer to her as Jenni but if she wanted to be Jen or jenni or jennifer she could choose

my first ever doll was called jennifer... and thats actually how it came up.

have you been through all the 'shortened versions' and 'do the initials spell out anything odd etc....lol.

I like Lucy and Luke :)

yeah they spell out

LSS
AJS
LAS
JAS

See in true geordie style lucy would be ideal cos we could call her "wor las" and its be veyr accurate

Keep all names and have a look when they arrive. We new we were having a boy and were pretty set on Sebastian Michael Edward, but had Ethan Michael James as a back up and Alexander Michael Benjamin as a second back up. Saw him and I just knew he was Sebastian :)

yeah thats the plan... were going to see what they look like. they may even look like something totally different.

i dont believe in naming your child before you meet them anyway, we just want some options

i like all of them but jennifer alys is definately the winner for me........... my mums name is jennifer and she got nicknamed jenny wren (like the bird) which is cute and alys is one of my favourite names :)
