I have 26 days until due date. I'v had a relatively easy pregnancy so far. But the last few weeks I just seem to be in pain, and it's getting worse and longer.

I am getting excruciating period type pains, I'v had a good few episodes of these. But I constantly just have an achy bump. Feels very tender. I get shooting pains down below and I know there normal. Then a few braxton hicks thrown in every now and again.
The pain when baby moves makes me wince, I do love her moving but ouch! It's so sore.

I have a 3 year old and I really don't remember anything as sore as this, my daughter had a foot under my rib for weeks and I'm sure I ended up with an internal bruise because it took so long to go away even after she was born.

Anyone know of this is just normal? Is it a sign of a big baby? Is it just baby making her way?

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow with #2 and found lots more ouchies this time. Had SPD pains in hips, and front of pelvis, now have to use crutches. Movements feel painful lower down but I put this down to having to do 2 heparin injections daily and I have little black bruises there all the time.

The new period pains might be baby's head going into your pelvis? Bonus of this is that it does ease the rib kicking for a short bit.

Laura same here 38 weeks tomorrow & being getting lots of shooting pains, BH etc for weeks, midwife says its just my body getting ready for labour xx

Sorry to heat you're feeling like that hun. But i think its normal with #2. Im 40weeks with a 2 1/2 yr old and the pain is unbearable everyday from SPD to very painful and long period type cramps and sciatica and indigestions... Lets not forget how exhausted we all are *HUFFFF*
But after all that it is normal and worth it in the end. Try keep ur head up love xxx

Thanks for your replies ladies!

I just find it really hard because I'm comparing to pregnancy no.1. The difference in pain is unbelievable. I don't think it's as bad as you poor ladies with SPD. Ouch. Maybe it's because having my 1st to look after as well.

Im also feeling like this :(
im 37+2, and today ive been getting backache, small pains in my sides and i feel like im on my period...
I keep feeling like i have to go to the toilet to change, but obviously i dont.
And just now having sharp pains just under my ribs on the right side.
Im not entirely sure what this means, and would be greatful for any advice..
This is my second pregnancy but i was 9 days over with my first and my waters broke in my sleep so dont know what to expect
Please Help!!
