shooting pain is breast - wtf is it???

I have had this very horrible shooting pain from chest to nipple in my left breast. It is really sore like someone pulling a needle out through it! It happened on and off for about half an hour or so last night (thank god it went away!! Ow!). I had it before maybe a couple of weeks ago. Again it passed quite quickly but OMG was it SORE!! Both times at night.

I have m/w on Mon and will mention it then but just wondered if anyone here had had anything similar and what it was.

I'm fretting about it because I want to try breastfeeding again (gave up after four days last tine) and this pain just reminded me how sore I was last time. Also I have really sensitive nipples at the moment (surely that's a design flaw) and am hoping they go away so I can feed baby without being in agony again!

Hello! Hopefully it's nothing serious and it's just your breasts making milk I get the odd wierd pain too, just not that badly. Maybe catch up with your midwife and see if she has any suggestions? If they were aching all the time I guess warm flannels but i don't know about shooting pains. X
