Hummmmmmmmmmmm! Went to Plymouth yesterday purposely to buy some nice shampoos and smelly stuff from LUSH and said to OH although I love them I cant imagine they will last much longer.....we today on a different forum (yes I'm a traitor) some one says from a reliable source that LUSH is in trouble. :( :( :( :( I'm so sad if it is true, I love LUSH, yes it makes every high street smell like soap but I love that! :(

I can't go into LUSH......it gives me a headache :( .

You will be able to buy a lifetimes worth of soap in the closing down sale though - :rotfl: .

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i need my rockstar and honey i washed the kids fix

I LOVE Lush :(

I did have it tipped as one of the next to go though :?

How are WH Smith still in business? They have no USP and their stores are dated. I can't believe Woolies have gone tits up and they're still trading! My saddest news was The Pier though, I loved that shop. I went in on the last day and the shelves were empty.

Adams and Whittards are doing OK out of the increased footfall. Certainly for stores on the brink of closure nothing's reduced that much. Adam's has always been a rip off and I find some of the clothes really chavvy :shhh:

What d'you expect from a Northern Irish store  though they used to be good,I can remember my mummykins buying all my clothes there when I was about 5
Though now when OH and I walk past it he's like "where's the mini Buckfast?"

has it closed??? nooooo

Adams have been in the shits for years - they closed a load of stores and someone bought them over (name has gone from my mind just now).

Whittards... are too bloody expensive imo! USC are going - too expensive too!

I will be sad to see Lush go tho - I dont buy a huge amount from them as 90% of their products have Lavender in it and I am allergic... but what I do get I love! :)

Hasnt Whittards been bought? Oooo seen Adams yesterday and they had been closed down here there was a sign saying the store was permanently closed. :( Its really crap. I tried searching for anything on google too and not found anything either. I do hope its not true but I really dont know. With you on the WHSmiths one too.

Yes, everything was 70% off. I couldn't get in until 2nd Jan and it was a sad sight. There was a few bits of furniture at silly prices for those who could carry them. The hand painted chests and that £30. :(

Lalalalaallalala Im not listening *puts fingers in ears*

I loooooove Lush esp rock star soap it cant go, only this morning I got my lush post through the door

The pier was closing in notts when we ventured there the other day, they were selling the lovel shopping baskets and displays it is another place I love too :( ...

Not so fussed about adams, I agree with minxy

Maybe they don't make money because the soap lasts forever!

OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I NEED LUSH.
I am going to have to buy anything I can afford :(

Is there not someone on here that works for them - I am sure there is!

I would hate to work in there.

I blame the internet for all these shop as no one needs to leave their house to go shopping anymore. I popped into my bank earlier to talk about saving accounts for when we sell our house and the woman there said if I do it all online then I get an extra 0.25% on my savings. They don't need staff in banks if you can do everything online.

IKWYM, although I went in during Christmas week because they had 50% off I needed some sleepsuits and I bought Maia a gorgeous Christmas dress its beautiful, I was really surprised

ETA - Did have photos posted but for some reason when I up-load from Photobuket its not displaying my watermark so I have deleted then :(

Noooooo!! I LOVE! Lush! :(

I must admit though with the credit crunch I've not bought anything in there for ages, they are expensive, so a treat for me.
This xmas is the first time in years that I've not spent a fortune in their big freeze sale, we didn't have the cash spare this year.
OH has said if they have a closing down sale I can stock up :cheer:
