I have a ceilidh in January. Last year everyone dressed pretty formally... I haven't bought a dress in such a long time and certainly not since my body changed completely. I have been looking online and I just realised I have no idea how to dress now. Coast has some amazing deals right now, but I have no idea what will look good on me. Since it has been so long since I have bought clothes, I don't care TOO much about the price. I haven't bought a dress since 2004! I think bustier tops can be beautiful, but I don't have the confidence. Plus, what do you do about a bra? Strapless bras are always so annoying. I want to try something I wouldn't normally go for, within reason.

Has anyone gotten any Christmas party clothes yet? Post links if so! :D

That's so pretty! I'm not confident enough for short dresses, but maybe I should just drag up the courage and wear one? For me, short is anything knee length or above.

It is hard to describe my shape and I don't really have any full-length pictures, but I am about 5'7'' with broad shoulders and my middle section is the worst part of me. Some people say I have an hourglass figure, but my tummy is still pretty big from pregnancy. I am a little scared to show my calves because I got some stretch marks on them. :( My size depends on the store. It can range anywhere between 12 and 16, but I think 14 is usually pretty accurate.

There are loads of nice ones in Monsoon just now. I ordered one off line, but didnt like the material so just went in to change it today.

Oh, and I can't go without a bra because of breastpads. :/

forgot to post a pic....

This is the dress from Monsoon

Can't wait for tomorrow night to get all dressed up and pretty :cheer:

Sarah, that dress is really nice! I want to try to make it into Monsoon today or this weekend. I should look at this as fun, not scary!

My Monsoon (not sure if it was an all over promotion - sure it would have been!) had either 20 or 30% off all evening dresses today

What about this one? I've never worn a strapless but if I find a nice shrug I might feel more confident...

I like that one Brooke :D

Try ASOS online too - they have some nice dresses :D

I like that one too.

Short dresses in winter are fine as you can wear thick black tights to cover your legs, I never wear them in the summer, yucky veiny white legs are not a good look! :rotfl:
