I'm just over 39w. So under a week until my due date.

I don't imagine this one will come quietly. Like his brother lol.

I've got MW a week on Friday for my first sweep this pregnancy. I'll be a few days over so hoping that might kick things off. If not it'll be a second induction for me.

I'm so ready to have my body and pelvis back. Bump is quite heavy and achey these days. Moving is a task and I ofcourse have Jackson all day and trying to get organised.

Hi all. Arrived at the hospital at 10am and by 11am they were monitoring me for half an hour to make sure babys heart beat is ok. At 12pm pessary was put in with gas and air. She did a membrane sweep first. I was off my head laughing with just few puffs of gas and air lol. 12pm to 1pm baby heartbeat was monitored and now i am free to walk around. Next mornitoring will be at 5pm. Blood sugars are ok so far too. Midwife did say induction will take a couple of days being first time mum and cervix is still long but it was soft. So just waiting to see what will happen. I feel more relaxed now that the process has started. Excited to meet my little prince
 
I was a FTM and was in labour 7hr after the second pessary had been inserted. Which was 8pm. First one did nothing that was put in for 4pm. Cervix wasn't favourable either.. so could go either way. I didn't need drip or my waters burst either. All went smoothly.

Hope baby gets a move on for you.

Oh strongminded! Im so excited for you! May not be too long, friend had her first baby just two hours after second pressary and her cervix wasnt favourable either, hope it all goes smoothly! Great that your blood sugar's are good, im really worried about that bit of it. How early then did they induce you with GD, ill get a date on Tuesday for induction. If i don't go before that, still getting some contractions!

I've been back for another growth scan today. All is well and doctor tried to give me a sweep, unfortunately couldn't be done my cervix is still long and hard, so back in 2 weeks to try another sweep. Would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly disappointed! But I am only 38+5 so plenty time. My only worry is OH has his paternity leave set and goes back to work on 7th November so if they leave me to go to 42 weeks he will get 2 weeks max. with her. Don't even see the point of trying all the home ways to induce labour as I've never heard of any of them working for anyone! Xx

Hi maac i had type 2 diabetes before getting pregnant hence the induction now. Its been a relaxing day so far. I hope things will get moving by tomorrow
 
I had midwife today and my baby is breech again!! Back in tomorrow for ecv! Can't understand day baby keeps turning!! Making me very nervous for labour as who knows what way round the baby will be! Glad all is going well strong minded xxx
 
Iv got just two weeks to go until due date, I'm so ready for this baby to come now, almost in tears at night as my pelvis hurts so much when turning from side to side, don't get much sleep, also back is aching!! Got all my hospital bags packed and ready to go. I was induced with both of my children one at 42weeks and the other one at 41 weeks as they were worried as my bump was small, hoping not to go over with this one however it's most unlikely.

Good luck to everyone. Cannot believe how quick this year has gone and we all are going to have our babies soon. X
 
I am having small pains nothing major. The induction seems to be going on forever for me too. How many pessaries have you had so far lil miss lee. I am still on my first until 12pm
 
Just popping in here to say hello, I was due 23rd September but no sign of the little monkey yet. So there's a very good chance I'll be an October mum!
 
Hi All. Pessary taken out at 12.30pm and midwife did a membrane sweep but a longer one than yesterday. I was on gas and air through out it. It really hurt. Good news is i am 2cm dilated and she said cervix is soft. They said they can break my waters now but there are no available places in the labour ward! They wont be putting in prostin gel. Since membrane sweep i have been having contractions. Quite painful but i am handling it so far. I am hoping to dilate further with sheer will power lol. Just had a shower and trying to relax now. How is everyone else getting on

Oh strongminded I hope this is it all starting! Sounds like a bit of a nightmare, imnot looking forward to just hanging about the hosp :( ive already to stay in a day or two after as baby will need antibiotics. I blame being a nurse, hate hospitals lol!

Well you never know redhead, it could all just take off soon! Youre more than welcome anyway, the more the merrier :):)

I went to hairdressers today for a trim and my face just looked so swollen and puffy. Im so pale today in general. I haven't had any swelling the whole way through at all. If its still bad tomorrow ill see if docs will check my blood pressure. My mum is all panicked saying she had a swollen face the day before labour lol. I think my mum just wants to have this baby asap! Its my husband's bday today and hes going out later but im being sent to my mums to rest haha!

I feel you girl!!! I was due August 26 and my baby came September 3. And now she's almost a month old?!? The end of pregnancy feels so long and then the time just flies.

Hope that baby of yours shows up soon!

Can't believe you October mamas are here ready to have your babies. It's so exciting!
