*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Hi I'm Anji, I'm 35 (36 next month).
From the sunny Isle of Wight.
Married to Alan for 3yrs in July(married on our 10th anniversary) planned this so he only has one date to remember!
I have 2 children dd 16 and ds 9. Was happy with two for a long time but about 3 years ago I started to get that feeling of wanting just 1 more but dh wasn't keen so we got a puppy instead. Which was fine for a while but the feeling never really went away so after months of persuading hubby finally gave in!(us women always win in the end!) Came off the pill in May14 and got my bfp on valentines day x
Baby will be due on my late fathers birthday which is like my dad had it all planned out for me x
I work in retail. Don't really have any hobbies, like to go walking in the forest and down the beach. Like reality TV shows don't like soaps and like comedy films.
Looking forward to getting to know you all x

This is a great idea!

My name is Carrie-Anne, I'm 27 and based in Norfolk. I've been with my OH for nearly 8 years now, we bought our first home in 2013 and decided to have a little time settling in before starting a family. We have been extremely lucky and have fallen on our first cycle. I'm currently on tenterhooks thinking there must be some sort of catch, but so far so good.

We have 2 cats called Jax and Opi, they definitely keep us on our toes as they are only babies at the moment!

I like good ol' cheesy music, bit of glam rock etc, the sort of stuff not expected of me! I love drama and sci fi, so a big fan of Sons of Anarchy (hence the cat names), The Walking Dead and The 100. I'm also a keen keep fit fanatic, taking part in 8 classes a week every week! I plan to keep these up for as long as I physically can.

I'm Solveig, 34. Last time I was active on these boards (2005-2006) I lived in Leicester, but now I live in Norway, having moved back home after ending a very bad relationship with my son's father (who is now completely out of the picture). I live with my son (9) and my OH (34), two cats and a miniature poodle. OH and I have been together two years, and I can finally say I have met my soulmate, and now I know what a loving relationship SHOULD be like. We hope to have time to have one more baby after this one ;) I work as a graphic designer, own my own design agency (along with two other co-owners), and work full time. I enjoy interior decorating, hiking, fishing trips with our boat, reading and cooking. Not much time left for any other hobbies :)

That's lovely anji, my baby is due very close to my dad's birthday too, it's like he sent me this little angel.

Thank you girls for your kind words, I'm doing my best to keep strong.

And what a diverse group we all are, looking forward to sharing these next few months with you all. x

Is any of you ladies going for an early reassurance scan? I can't make my mind up! I wanted to go next week 7th March when I'm nearly 9 weeks to hopefully see the precious heartbeat but then my 12 week scan is on 26th March... Not sure if there's a point :eh:

I am. We had a miscarriage last year and I won't be able to enjoy my pregnancy until I hear/ see that heartbeat. It really depends on how you feel about waiting another 3 weeks and whether you have any concerns about your pregnancy so far

I've been having bad cramping / pinching pains
A few have been so bad they've woken me from my sleep
I rang the GP and he's got me booked in for 1 tomorrow x

Good luck for tomorrow Gail, I'm sure everything will be fine. I get the odd twinge here n there too.

I will be booking an early scan for 7 weeks, I'm terrified the same thing will happen as last time so like Georgesmum i really need the reassurance off seeing that little heartbeat :)

Hope your doctor gives you reassurance Gail, this is such a scary time. I've had dull aches on and off although not painful, but everything scares you. Good luck hun x

In the first couple weeks they were ok
Just like bad period pains
Theyve gotten worse so worth getting checked out just incase its ectopic or anything cos its so bad it stops me in my tracks!

I've had loads of symptoms lately I'm starting to feel sorry for myself lol

Heartburn
Nausea
Fatigue
Sore boobs
Bloating
Cramping
Spots (i even have one in my ear today!!)
Coldsores
Constipation
Peeing more
Food aversion
And my new symptom today - a metallic taste in my mouth! I feel like I've been licking a rusty old spoon! Its so weird and i cant get rid of it. Nothing tastes right at all. Very weird indeed!!

Gail, this is a huge list?! It must be difficult for you, hope it gets better soon x

How is everyone today?

Tired! My son had his Mmr injection and boosters yesterday and wouldne sleep in his cot so I've been woken up constantly from him being a wiggle monster in our bed all night. Ah well nice I suppose

Not been much online the past few days, so catching up here. If I have missed someone off the list, please give me a nudge!

I feel sick, sick, sick! have the doctors today to get my booking in appointment with the MW. Although this is third time round for me, this is new husband and eight year gap! so all feels brand new. I am worrying about every twinge!

I have my final probation meeting at work tomorrow, I am worried they will find out and say thanks but no thanks! which I know is really silly! but I guess these hormones are running riot lol.

How is everyone else today?

Pumpkin, there's nothing worse than not getting a good night sleep! Hopefully the day won't drag to much and you can get some rest tonight :)

mumagain, don't worry too much about work, it's very unlikely they would know of your pregnancy. Hope you can find something to help with the sickness x

5 weeks today :) Ekk! Went drs yesterday I have spd :( joy come down with a cold and cough. And feeling generally rotten :( ah well. Petchy could you move my due date to the 28? Did a digi and its 3+ today :) btw I'm mel 29 30 in May and have a 2 year old daughter :) we live in Devon xx

I'm much the same. 2nd time for me, but my DS is 9 now and I have a new partner, so it feels like starting over! Have my booking appt on the 12th when I'll be 9+2. Had a pretty traumatic birth last time round, that I was never offered any counselling afterwards, and I notice even after all these years it still bothers me. So I'm definitely gonna ask to have some extra talks with the MW about what we can do to make this time round a better experience regardless of events...

I'm 7+1 today. Symptom wise I'm still the same: not exactly nausea but off my food. Slightly sore boobs. And SO hormonal and tearful. I cry at the stupidest things! I kinda wish the nausea would pick up, so I can feel properly pregnant, lol. Silly, since I had NO nausea with DS, and he was perfectly fine! Also had some ligament pain (Already! I was in tri 2 before I had them last time, but it's definitely what it is) the past couple of days when moving a bit too suddenly, like getting off the sofa or turning around in bed.
