*** October 2015 Mummies ***

I'm cooking something for the first time in a week. Still making me feel ill but need to eat. Had really bad tummy cramps last night along with sickness so must of had a fresh batch of hormones lol. My boobs have got really sore the last few days I take my bra off at night and it's so ouchie :( joys of pregnancy eh? Lol xx

I'm so hungry at night, seem to be craving salt and vinegar crisps, which is great as I've promised myself I'm not putting on weight in first tri this time.

Anyone else having toilet issues (sorry for tmi) my stools are very loose right now

Hi
Been busy with work so not been on in few days. Pumpkin I have had similar problems to you, but I find I'm very loose for day/two then I swing other way, I think it's just another pregnancy symptom, I found when it was loose (sorry tmi), I was also v nauseous with wrenching. Tummy feels a little off, some nausea throughout the day, but so far nowhere near as bad as last time.

So finally had to tell my boss today, as otherwise had no way to wriggle out of working with some pretty nasty teratogenic chemicals in next few weeks. Her face literally fell. She said congratulations & mumbled yes safety should come first! Didn't ask how I was or how far along I am or when I'm due or anything. I arranged to meet SHE officer tomorrow to have my risk assessment, as don't want to work with any nasties I don't have to! I'm buggered if Im taking any risks, they so do not pay me enough for that sh*t!
Have asked my boss to keep it quiet as I don't want everyone to know just yet, but she practically rand to other Dept head as soon as our meeting was over, she didn't manage to keep quiet last time either! Has everyone else told work? I'm afraid to tell all work incase there are any problems, plus I've not even told my mum yet, as I want to do it in person next time she visits (hopefully in few weeks)
Will see how long it takes before everyone knows...........

That's really unprofessional of her to run off telling people when you asked her not to grrr, still at least they have to keep you safe at work now :)
I've told my parents and sister as I figured if the worst happens I'd need their support, and if the HG kicks in I'll have to have help. I'm hoping not to tell work until 12 weeks when know ok after scan but if I have to be signed off if I get sick then I'll have to tell them then I guess.

early scan booked for 16th march when i will be 7 wks 3 days. Hope next three weeks dont drag.

Urg wait to first scan is the hardest I think. Hope it flies by for you.

Dry heaving multiple times daily in unpredictable and impractical situations is occurring for me! Makes me feel happier things are ok in there but miserable otherwise. Feel like a rubbish mummy to my LG at the moment. Bailed to my parents to sleep all weekend this one gone. Pumpkin, I go from one way to the other with stomach.

I'm telling my partners at work this weekend. Its not going to go well, it costs our practice a lot of money me going off and they have to pick up a lot of extra work. Oh well, they all have 2 children, so tough really.

I told my work at 4+5 because i work in areas of radiation
Not all the time mind but had to tell her so she knows why i can't x

I like gritty drama's. psychological thrillers, admiring contemporary art, dark ambience that sounds like the sea, nu garage x feel free to join in would be lovely to hear what you're all up to out there :)

Theres no way I'm typing again so I'll copy and paste lol

Hi everyone*

I'm Gail, 27 years old (I usually need to count from my birth year because for so long I've been telling myself I'm 19 - it's ridiculous!)
I live in Whitehaven, Cumbria but I'm originally from Greenock, Scotland.
I moved here just over 5 years ago for work (which I'm not allowed to say where but if you knew the area you could probably work it out) which is where I met my now husband*
His name is David, hes 7 years older than me so hes 34 and hes an engineer*
We have been together just over 5 years and got married on our 3 year anniversary*
We are proud parents to Albus the 1 year old yorkie, Leon the 5 year old 3 legged grey cat, Neyo the 5 year old long black cat, Alfie the 3 year old fluffy black and white cat, and we also have 6 hens aswell - Atlantis, Belle, Beau, Chance, Connie and Clover. Over the past couple of years we've had rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, degus, fish , mookee pigeons and indian fantail doves!
I do love my animals lol
Summer 2013 we had a miscarriage at just over 9 weeks. It was devastating. I tried letting it pass naturally but it was incomplete and got infected. I tried medical management which failed and had to have an erpc anyway*
2nd time lucky this time round hopefully!*
Hobby wise... i dont have many. I used to go to lots of keep fit classes - body combat being my fave. I started feeling unwell a lot and over the past few years my weights ballooned. About a year ago i started on meds for an underactive thyroid which has changed my life dramatically. I've been undergoing physio and awaiting a rheumatology appt for other weird things going on
I just want to be the best version of me that I can be really*
I wanna be a good mum x

I like trashy reality TV like Big Brother, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom 2, Catfish and Breaking Amish
My husband hates it haha

I like NCIS LA, the flash, arrow, elementary, Dr Who, MARVEL agents of shield...light hearted crime/scifi hero type stuff... nothing too dark or serious!

I like crafty stuff too and making things
I like making my own cards and have loads of jigsaws and model sets (planes, ships etc)
Im in the early stages of knitting a patchwork blanket
I like cooking (but hate the dishes)
I love chart music which if i really love the song ill happily put it on repeat - something else my husband also hates haha!

Bloody tapa talk having a fit sorry did type somthing else but tapa talk deleated it :/

heheee awwrr I laughed at all of your pets that's awesome..and laughed at your husband hating things haha! x

Im jo, 31 this year married to paul for five years now and together for 9. we have a daughter who just turned 2 this month and is a miracle. We have had 11 miscarriages before her and I have a chromosomal disorder so we were sure it wouldn't happen for us. Now its (hopefully ) happened twice! Currently 8+3 weeks pregnant. Im a high risk pregnancy and will be scanned weekly until at least 13 wweeks and then most.likely fortnightly .

Im a senco and primary school teacher by trade but taking a break from it all to raise my family. So i've stepped down to run the after school club which I enjoy, gives me some adult time and allows hubby to have our daughter after work every day so they have a fantastic relationship!

I am not girly or into girly things at all, my best friends are all men. I like traveling, reading, working out... Fav tv shows are things like game of thrones, breaking bad... I am quite opinionated and speak my mind a lot!

Staceymo I think it's great idea to get to know each other better. I'm Shona, 36 years old, living in Liverpool almost 3yrs now, originally from Dublin. Married to Mike a Scouse, 2 years this April. Mommy to Aoife (13 months) conceived the week we were married (sorry tmi), currently expecting #2. I work in cancer research, sometimes I love it & sometimes I hate it, but mostly love it cause I learn something new every day.
Think I prob could have been up for promotion if I hadn't gotten pregnant! Do worry how my getting pregnant will effect my career & how I am viewed in company, but I'm in my 30s & I feel it's more important to establish my family at moment rather than my career!
Nervous about thi pregnancy as I got severe pre-eclampsia during my last pregnancy & really thought for first time ever that I might die! But delighted I'm pregnant & Hubbie & I know signs to watch out for & midwife has told me I will be watched v closely.
I like to relax by vegging in front of tv, I'm currently a fan of, Greys Anatomy, The Good Wife, Homeland, catastrophie, broad church ( gutted the current series ended tonight), Suits, Revenge. Also love to read, but terrible chick lit (my dirty secret)
Family is most important thing to me so love spending time together at weekend playing, going for walks (gosh I sound boring). I try to go back to Ireland every 6/8 weeks as I'm home bird & really miss seeing everyone!
Before Aoife came I was gym bunny, but find it difficult to find the time now, but I have joined a gym & plan to swim 2/3 times week this pregnancy.

Nice idea :) I'm Chloe, 31 from West Yorkshire. I have a 16 month little girl who came along in 2013, after a horrible mc in Oct 2012 which ended in an ERPC and infection.

Hobbies wise I like keep fit, day trips with our little family, and meals out - we all love our food in this family! :)

MC first time round was at 9 weeks - currently at 7+4 so the nerves are setting in. Have been very sick this time round though which never happened with mc - and only a little bit with dd - hope it's not twins lol!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and hope to stick around for the next 8 months! x

Great idea.

My name is Dee and I'm from Dublin, aged 33 and I work in higher education. I'm married since last year and this is our first baby, although I had a miscarriage a few months ago. I'm hiding out here in this UK forum as I know a few people on the most popular Irish forum and I'd like to stay away from them if possible...

I'm so happy about this pregnancy and can't wait to meet our little bean, but it's very bittersweet for me as I lost my dad recently. I miss him so much and it makes me so sad that my children will not have him in their lives. He was such an amazing man. Each day is a rollercoaster of sadness and happiness...sometimes I don't know whether I'm coming or going. Oh god writing this makes me even more upset.

Great idea Staceymo!

Hi everyone :)

My name is Karolina, I'm 28 and I live in Scotland. I got married in 2013 and found out I was pregnant in January after 4 months of trying. This will be our 1st pregnancy/baby.

I work full time as admin team leader and have been at my current job for nearly 5 years. I get along with all colleagues and managers but I must say I am looking forward to maternity leave! I am hoping for a lazy year (to all 2nd time mums - please, do not burst my bubble!)

I have an awesome, ginger cat Harry. He was adopted almost 6 years ago and he is the best cat ever! We are hoping he adjusts well to having a baby in the house knowing he is NOT a fan of high pitch noises. And I guess the cuddles will have to be evenly distributed too :)

I don't have any particular interests. I enjoy spending time with my husband and friends. I'm a cine-maniac, I watch as many movies as possible. I like a good book.

I'm definitely looking forward to share this pregnancy experience with all of you, wonderful Ladies x

littlemix, sorry to hear about your dad x It may be difficult to write about how you feel but it can also be very cleansing x

staceymo, i mostly watch films on dvd unless it's a move I really look forward to seeing. The two last movies i watched was boyhood (weird, a bit different) and two nigh stand (very funny). On my list this week are 50 shades and the birdman but I will also add whiplash, I forgot about it and it looks good!
