*** October 2015 Mummies ***

Morning sickness has proper kicked in. Couldn't be happier as I am passed the point I miscarried and that time I felt nothing. Despite that I am a blubbering mess on the sofa as I have a poorly toddler to look after and we haven't told anyone yet so can't get any help. So strange to be so happy and so sad at the same time!

Had my booking in app today. Mw seems quite nice. Couldn't do bloods as I have to fast beforehand due to my mum being diabetic!

Georgesmum, bet that's a huge weight of your mind to be past the stage that you miscarried last time?

It is absolutely amazing!! Just got to get through the sickness now. Lasted til 17 weeks last time

Fliss!!! So glad everything is okay....lovely scan! Can't believe how much they change in the early weeks! :)

That's really good news Georges mum...the sickyness is really overwhelming. I've found I have a little more energy now and I'm not falling asleep at 7pm. All of my colleagues in work know, so it does help. One of the girls came up to me today and said "Are you okay? Because you look like shit!" Hahaha!

We are finding out. :)

We have our house on the market so this year could be interesting.

I have my booking in appt tomorrow with the midwife
I expect she will tell me to take more folic acid (cos im fat) and to increase my thyroid meds!

I also thoroughly expect to offload my 101 miserable symptoms I'm suffering with cos i am exactly that - miserable!
Its so hard feeling sick all the time, boaking, and food aversion and metallic taste. You want something one min then it totally turns your stomach
Thankfully touch wood I've been sleeping ok
Sick Gail is one thing. Tired Gail is another. A combination of the 2 has gotta be deadly!

Think I'm going to call the midwife in the morning. I'm bleeding again. Quite light (although dtd and there was a noticeable amount when I went for a wee, sorry for tmi) it's bang on the 26 day mark for when My period should be due and appears to be the same as last month. I bleed lightly for 3 days in feb. It's always bright red 'fresh' blood.

Never had this last pregnancy and it feels abit scary. Doesn't help I was stupidly stressed this evening

Feel like I'm jinxing myself as I was looking at nursery furniture earlier

Definitely give midwife a ring hun. I know some women do have bleeds when their period would be due but I imagine it's a scary thing to be seeing blood. Good luck x

Georgesmum - congratulations, it feels like a milestone all of it's own when you pass that point :) I would tell someone close to you, so you can ask for a shoulder to lean on if you need one.

Pumpkin9 - I would definitely give them a call, they will be able to help you, and although it is common it doesn't feel any better when it is happening to you :( get on the phone to them, and put your mind at rest x

Today is mainly about trying to stay awake! and not cry !!

Pumpkin, my two friends were bleeding lightly every month when their period was supposed to be due, and apparently it's very common. But do call the midwife, just to give yourself the peace of mind. Also, maybe it's worth taking a break from dtd for a bit? Especially near you 'period due date'? x

I cant believe the morning I've had and its only 9.45am! Sat here in tears because my two year old is just becoming harder and harder to handle. Plus feeling so sick so I have hardly any patience. Just literally dragged her back from the train station after planning a lovely day out for her. Now it looks like another day sat in the house. Im really really starting to worry how I'm going to cope with her and a newborn if this behavior continues. Sorry for the down post ladies.

Baby2sky - hormones are a toughie! don't worry, it is just that! hormones! when little bean arrives maternal instinct kicks in double wammy and you cope beautifully. Pregnancy takes it out of you, and toddlers take it out of you even more so don't panic, it will all be fine :)

You have a toddler who needs boundaries
If they act up they don't get nice things
Its crap to do the whole punishing thing but you're still coping and doing what you need to x

I've phoned the midwife and I'm being referred to the early pregnancy unit at the hospital so I'm just waiting for a call back. Took my ages to get through and my mobiles been playing up as well which has made me worry as I wasn't sure if they were calling me back in the house phone or this!!

I'm still bleeding this morning so i think it's more to do with that time of the month than anything else.
Didn't bleed at all last pregnancy so it's freaking me out abit. Just desperate so find out what's going on now. Looks like hubby's going to be having a bit of a wait until we're next intimate. Don't want to risk anything again until were into tri 2.

I guess they call them terrible twos for a reason! Don't feel guilty cancelling the fun day - the little one has to understand that there are consequences for misbehaving. You can still do fun things at home, right? And it gives you a chance to sit down and rest for a bit. Sending hugs :hugs:

Fingers crossed for your appointment Pumpkin x

I don't have much to report accept the fact that I am REALLY hungry, constantly! Just ate a sugary donut and I don't even like them!!!!!

Im patiently sitting at the Dr's
My booking in appt is now
Well... 10 mins ago
Its freezing in here!

Hope your appointment goes well mrss

I've had a call back from the hospital and have an early scan booked for Friday now to find out what's going on so hopefully will see my very little bean then.

Well we filled in the paperwork
Got lots more reading material to go through
Got my medical exemption certificate to fill in and had my bloods taken
Also got my thyroid meds and folic acid increased. Which i knew shouldve been the case. But the Dr said i didn't need to when i had an appt 3 weeks ago!

Got a scan on Friday to check my bean has grown since last week, then again at 12 weeks for dating scan, will see midwife at 16w, anomaly scan at 20w, check up scans at 28w along with glucose test and another scan at 34w

Will also get to see an endocrinology consultant for my underactive thyroid
shes gonna find out whether i should take aspirin from 12w due to risk factors

Think thats about it
Just the usual. Eat healthy. Keep moderately active and so on!
