****October 2014 mummies****

I am refusing to have mine until i am past 34 weeks. After then i am more than Happy to have it!

Whoo whoooo congrats on Tri 3 Mrs Woody!!!! I will be joining you there tomorrow! Eeek!!

Iv never had the whooping cough jab mentioned to me until my friend told me about it last night, I wonder would they ever have told me! Is there any reason in particular that your waiting until later shooting star? I don't know anything about this! xox

I am also going to ask about the whooping cough jab tomo. Tri 3 tomo, feels very scary as it's all going so quick! I was thinkin about the fri 3 thread, I'll most likely be a sept mummy and wondered of it would be better for someone nearer the end of October to do te thread so it could be updated. Just a thought :-) xx

I think you have done your fair share of work with the thread management steffy :) I would volunteer but my laptop has packed up and I just use tapatalk on my phone so would take me a year and a day to set anything up lol xx

I was given the swine flu and normal flu one when i was 34 week last time. By the evening i was contracting every 5 mins for a min. I had to be admitted and given steroid injections- they thought i would deliver. Luckily is didnt progress and i had c-section at 40
Weeks.

Anyway, even though they said there was no link, i know of some one else that gave birth at 35 weeks after have the same injection as me. So for peace of mind i am going to ask for any vaccinations to be done as later as possible in case it happens again.

Ah ok I understand! I can see why you are concerned! that must have been so stressful for you :( x

You can get the vaccine between 28-38 weeks for it to be effective for baby.
I had the flu jab and whopping cough together last time and felt like I'd been hit by a bus the next next, they took all my energy out of me. After that one day I was totally fine.

I won't be able to take on the new thread as I mainly use tapatalk and I just don't have the time at the minute.

I'm on the hunt for some nice maternity clothes but can't seem to see much, asos has some good stuff does anyone know how the sizing is? x

Do we have to get the flu jab too or is it just if you want that one?

I haven't ordered any maternity stuff off asos, iv only used new look and h&m, I think h&m are small fitting and new look is bang on with my pre pregnancy size!

If you are happy to do the Tri 3 thread shooting star that would be fab :) x

Yes that would be fab as us early oct mummies will be busy :-) xz

MMM I have not been told anything over here about whooping cough jab, dont think it is something they give here. I should of had my midwife appointment this tuesday but I am going to have to rearrange it as I have to go to the hospital next tuesday and wednesday for tests on my heart (secretly hoping when they ultrasound my heart they give me another quick look at baby but I doubt it). The only jab I have been told I may have to get is if my bloods from y next midwife appointment come back that my baby is positive blood type and that will be an anti-clotting one.

Grats on V-day and also the tri 3 xx

I wasn't told about it either Susan so maybe worth asking incase it has slipped their mind lol! Fingers crossed u get a little peek at baby on Tuesday!

I didn't know they could tell babies blood type from doing your bloods, I'm getting the Anti D Jab in a few weeks but they are just giving it because I'm negative, they told me they wouldn't know babies blood type until they test the blood from the cord after baby is born

Congrats on V-Day shooting star!!!! :) xxx

Happy V-day Shooting Star!!!

Coach they told me when my bloods results came back (second midwife app) that at 27 weeks they would take a vial of blood again to test and see what the babys blood was, the only time it was mentioned anything about the cord was when they said if we done the downs test and it came back high risk they would take a sample from the cord. Thankfully they can take this blood sample at the midwife clinic so I dont have the added freak out of sitting in the hospital waiting to get bloods took. Will def ask about the whooping cough jab while I am there.
x

Oh i didnt know that either. I dont think my Mum knew i was a different blood type to her until after i was born- she had a rare blood type and as i have a normal one her body was working over time to try and fight me off. We both ended up being a but poorly after birth because of it.

Well i fell asleep on the sofa last night after drinking a load of water. Woke up and was really confused which les me to have an epic panic attack. It was awful.

I think i was just so confused, get incredible stuffed because of the water and baby, and my fight or flight instinct kicked in! I was rather ill for 5 minutes, then shaky and then i calmes down as i told myself it was all adrenaline!

Was so awful and i am terrified of having one on the plane next week! Some of my anxiety has to do with that anyway, but i am hoping that i can keep it all in Check.

Poor baby net she was wondering what was going on. I hope that i didnt stress her out too much!

oh shooting star that sounds like an awful few minutes! I hate when i get confused when suddenly awaken.

BTW thanks for starting Tri3 thread xxx

excellent, just went on the scale and another 8 pounds! i passed 14 stone mark now... few more and i will be as heavy as my OH! total score up to now 30 pounds or 13kg or just over 2 stones... geez I am going to be massive!

Aww shooting star, I hope you're feeling better, that must have been scary :/

KatB79 - Aww :/ Your baby wants you to put on weight though - and a lot of it will be retained water and the actual baby/placenta etc, so try not to worry too much :)
