****October 2014 mummies****

I have got the Oyster pram with black chassis and hot pink colour pack for my dd. I love my pram and hopefully get to use it for this baby :)
x

Wow loads of shopping from everyone today. Its v day for us today and to celebrate OH and I bought the first outfits for baby. We don't need anymore clothes we have DD1's but I thought she should at least have her first outfits of her own.

Ooo fab Claire you have plenty of choice then, it will deffo be handy to have a spare! I went for the mirror chassis too :)

Ooo fab Mrs Woody so glad you love it, I'm so excited about it... Iv had my eye on it from the start :)

Happy V Day yday mustard!! How exciting to be out buying babies first outfits!!

I am crippled with pelvic pain, it feels like iv been kicked in the crotch, I'm hobbling around and stairs kill me :( does any one have any experience with the belts? Would it be worth getting one?

xxx

Coach, I've been like that for weeks. Nobody's told me about belts but gynae prescribed me some magnesium which is said to help.

I can't wait to buy plenty of baby stuff like you guys but oh is really panicky and won't buy until the last minute, and wants to wait til she's born before we get all we need. What's worse is he does undertaking and had to bury a stillborn the other day and since then he's been adamant he's going to take his time :( It's the sales here and I want to start ordering...

Happy v day mustard :-)

I need your help girls, I have a terrible cold, I've only managed to get 3 hours sleep last night. I've been putting Vick on, has anyone else had colds while pregnant? Its also coming out of both ends too :-( it was meant to be my first day back from work after having two week holiday tomorrow, but I won't be able to go in tomorrow like this. Have anyone got any ideas what I can take. Marks going to get me some honey and lemon. Is there any cough medicine I can take? Thanks girls xxx

Only paracetamol. You could trying taking extra vitamin C tablets that you mix in water.
I had a horrible cold before Christmas and in desperation went to the pharmacy for something and that's the only extra thing they told me to try.
I hope it clears soon x

Happy 25 weeks to any 12th Octobers! 3months 1 week and 6 days to go haha!

Thank you Mrs woody, can we take the normal dose of paracetamol. I've been reading up and it doesn't really tell you a lot?

Yes normal dose of paracetamol is fine, if you have a temp it should bring it down so hopefully u will start to feel a bit better x

Congrats all on reaching more milestones :) xxx.

Hope you feel better soon Claire xx.

I'm about to take Joe to a party then off to the folks for Sunday dinner. Could do with relaxing on the sofa for a day in front of the box ~ guess those days are gone lol xx.

My back is still giving me a hard time and I feel weighted down when I try to move these days!! Getting harder to bend down and when I tried to shave my lady bits I was useless and managed to nick my bum! Lol x.

Hope everyone is keeping fairly well xx

Congrats on everyone reaching v days, before you know it, October mummies will be taking over the third trimester! Wow can you actually believe it!

I had a bit of a moan up last night to OH that all my friends are making new friends as they already have children, I'm the last one so they all have their new friends with children similar ages..... he told me that I should make more of an effort but I'm pregnant and tired all the time I don't want to go out and why should I be the one that makes the effort all the time. I got a bit upset with him saying that as he knows how much I try and keep in touch and make an effort but oh well... I guess its my hormones!! I'm glad i'm working today as don't really want to talk about it again. It just annoys me as he always says if theres anything bothering me I should say...which when I do I get shot down for saying it. I recon OH's get their own pregnancy hormones too with their mood swings!

Anyway, enjoy the rest of your weekend. Sorry to have a whinge xx

Hello, back home finally. I will be happy to sleep in our own bed after another week of travelling. Also met my doggies after 2 weeks. .. We missed each other.

Claire I had a cold earlier on this year. Tea with squeezed lemon and honey. Paracetamol. Sniff of Olbas oil if cold was blocking my nose. Good luck!

Coachqueenie how are you getting on with ur back? I'm sat at work in agony not knowing what to do as some days it's ok and others really bad.

I really feel for all of you having back troubles. I have a hereditary back conditions where over the years I've spent many weeks and months off work and alot of times I've been on pain meds. Which is why now I only work part time . But since I've been pregnant my backs been the best its been in years. My hormones must acting as some sort of pain relief :-) Im expecting to have pain towards the end of the pregnancy when I'm a lot bigger. I then will wear a belt which I've heard good things about.
Its after the pregnancy which I've been told my back will really play me up, I'm going to have to adjust to how I do things like how I will pick the baby up and changing the baby, washing the baby etc.
In the meantime I've been making sure I sat up in a correct position, I've been using more pillows behind my back when sitting. I've been using pillows between my legs and bump. Im always careful with my lifting anyway but I'm doing less than before. When I'm taking things out the washing machine or loading or unloading the dish washer I have a small step stool that I sit on, i also wear low shoes .I hope these tips work for others . Xxx

Hi Sally!

Sorry I forgot to do an update after my doc appointment last week. She has referred me to physio in the hospital but also said the waiting list is so long that I prob won't get seen before baby comes which is obv no help at all lol! On the upside I'm not noticing my back pain as much now because it feels like I have been hit in the crotch with a sledge hammer!!! Even walking short distances is agony, I struggle getting shoes, socks, pants and trousers on, stairs are virtually impossible and rolling over in bed at night is horrendous! I'm convinced it's spd!

Thanks for the tips Claire, great news that pregnancy has given you a bit of relief! I have also heard good things about the belt so I think I will deffo get one! I'm sleeping with a pillow between my legs which does help in between the rolling over pain lol! xxx

Hi girls, had a midwife appointment this morning, got my MatB form today so just got to decide exactly when to finish work now :) still thinking 36 weeks xx.

Talked about my back pain ~ midwife advised rolling up a towel and putting it in the small of my back, using lots of pillows and sitting on a dining chair instead of sofa. I sympathise with everyone with back pain as its doing my head in now!

They are going to monitor the size of baby/bump a bit closer from 26 weeks due to Joe being a low birth weight at term. I'm quite happy with that as at least they'll keep an eye on it.

Looking forward to a nice relaxing evening now, hope everyone is doing ok xxx

I have my 37 week appointment booked with the consultant to Check position of the baby! Also they have refered me to iMap for the anxiety i experience ans experienced the week after DD.x

Hey ladies, how have you guys been?? Things have been nuts in this household the past few weeks and I haven't been able to get near the pc for anything other than talking to my family on skype.

Hope everyone is keeping well xx

Oh I can't believe it's first week for some of us to move to 3 trimester. For me it's still 2 weeks but this Sunday day will be 100 days countdown!

I am so glad I found this forum as without you girls I think it would be very stressful journey. The fact that we all feel similar pains, problems at sort of similar time is a great pick me up. Thanks to you all.
We got to tri3 our babies are officially babies already, so I think we can all do it...

HAPPY V DAY TO ME!!!!!! :)

Was looking forward to this milestone but now it's here I'm thinking holy hell time is going fast!!!!!!

All good though, peanut is still constantly raving away, in fact they kept rolling last night and it made me feel quite sick. Am shattered today though as my son had night terrors last night so we spent ages trying to calm him down while he screamed and kicked. We then brought him into bed with us and he cuddled into me so tight it was lovely, but it did mean no sleep for me and OH as he's such a fidget bum. He's got a lovely day planned today though with nanny and grampy at Peppa Pig world so hopefully that will wear him out for a good night sleep tonight.

Hope everyone is doing ok and I really feel for anyone suffering with their back. My back hasn't been too bad lately but I do get a pain quite frequently in my right bum cheek and last night was suffering badly with leg and toe cramps. Pregnancy ay - people forget to tell you how glamorous it is ;) xxx
