Morning ladies, i am 24 weeks today oh my days i am super excited. Waited for baby to kick this morning and said hey little one, it is getting closer to when we will meet. Happy V day to me and any other ladies who are 24 weeks today.xx

I see the group have been migrating over to the third tri. Seems surreal in someways how slow but fast time goes. Big hugs to all today sending lots of joy your way xxx

It is mad we are all gearing up for tri 3!

Right girls I need your advice. Where this is my 2nd pregnancy I hardly see my midwife and I get that but I just feel a bit abandoned by her. I met her at my booking in appointment and got on really well with her and felt really comfortable which was great and she said the best thing to do if I had a non urgent question was text her as she will then look at them all in breaks or the end of her day and reply. That was fine with me as I understand women with issues or in labour come first. However I went for my 16 week appointment and saw a different midwife. She just said my midwife wasn't available which was fine as I assumed she was at a labour or something but then I bumped into her in the surgery. Also my 2 year old currently has chicken pox and even though i wasn't concerned about me as I've had chicken pox I thought it was better to be safe than sorry and texted her just to explain and see if there's anything I should/shouldn't be doing. I've now sent 2 texts and got no replies at all (my first text was 2 days ago). The reason I'm mainly annoyed is I am looking at a home birth and just think if she's not reliable enough to answer a text can I rely on her at the labour! I don't see her next until I'm 28 weeks (end of July) but am wondering if I should request another midwife before then, what do you think? As well as looking at a home birth I am also going to visit my local birthing centre but just want a midwife I can rely on xxx

24 weeks today I am so happy this pregnancy is going well. Congrats to everyone who is 24weeks today and everyone moving over to tri 3.
Taffy rose it doesn't sound the right situation with the midwife. I wonder why u didn't see same one. Do you have a phone number for the midwife like a landline that you can call and speak to someone?

Hello there! Just back from holidays. I'm now 27+2 so really on tri3 but I can't move over without popping in here again. Can't believe it's the last stretch... Until I see myself in the mirror that is. I've put on over 2 stone.

Coach, I'm the same as you. I have a wedding mid august and don't know what to wear. I don't think your height is a problem though, you look great in your pics.

Taffy, your mw is supposed to make you feel happy and confident about pregnancy and birth. If that's not the case I would talk to her or change. In any case you need advice so if she can't give you it go and get it elsewhere!

Happy move to tri3 October mums :)

Yes taffy if you aren't happy you should see if you can change, you need to have faith in whoever is supposed to be there to help you! I have only seen my midwife twice, the last time she was off and I had a different lady who I actually liked much more. Although I don't think the community midwife will actually be with me at the birth so it's just for my check ups etc, I'm guessing at the birth they will be complete strangers!

Thanks pips! I'm going to leave the outfit decision to last minute! I'm not usually this prepared anyway lol! Hope you had a lovely holiday!

I stocked up on nappies today!! I got 2 jumbo boxes of pampers newborn size 1 and 2 boxes of size 2! Thanks to Wrightys thread and Claire Louise's input on the Tesco offer! Jumbo boxes of 74 for £8! Bargain!!

Yes pips we need to see your lovely belly!!!

Happy milestones to the v day-ers and move to tri 3 ers.
Taffy that is rubbish with your midwife. I know how you feel. I'm also planning home birth but like you have seen 2 different midwifes at booking and 16week check. Don't see anyone again till 28weeks and I don't think there is any guarantee who I will see in labour as there is a team of them. I know if you have a hospital birth you don't know midwife but with a homebirth you really need to trust them.

Lordy... I managed to order £90 worth of dresses before 8 this morning! My poor bank, I really can't afford this! But I will be returning all but 1 I suppose!

Dorothy Perkins have added lots of new dresses to their website and most of them are on sale!! It's worth taking a look if anyone has any occasions coming up!

Taffy, that is not very good of your midwife, still some time left until your lo time to be welcomed , so maybe on your 28 weeks app you will manage to get some answers who will be your midwife on the day and/or if yoiu want this lady to be the one.
Hope Max will be bettere soon xx

Coach love the dresses... they all looking fab!

Morning. Love the dresses coach, hope you find one you like and can be comfortable in. I feel really weak today been vomiting and upset tummy since 4 this morning. I am shaky and feel rough . Plan to rest and drink plenty of wAter. Has anyone else felt like this? Any tips feel quite sorry for myself xx

Thanks girls :)

Aw no Augustus that's not nice... Your plan sounds about right, rest and fluids! Try and get some food into you it might make you feel a bit better, maybe try and nibble on some dry toast or crackers. I hope you start to feel better soon :( xx

Ooh I love that coral dress coach xx.

Augustus I hope you feel better soon, look after yourself and if no better get some advice xx.

I'm off to get my little man a hair cut before I can no longer see his face!! It's gone a bit overcast now which is a bit of a relief tbh. Hope everyone has a nice day xxx

I hope you feel better soon Augustus, drink plenty of fluids and lots of rest, its nothing worse than being Ill when your pregnant and in this heat. Lots of love too you xxx.

Coach there's some bargains on those dresses, fingers crossed you like one of them. Take some pictures when they come, I would love to see what they look like on you.:-)

Taffy I hope you can sort your midwife problem out. I haven't see the same midwife in all my appointments and I've got no contact number direct to my midwife who I suppose to have seen everytime. I'm not really bothered if i don't see my midwife because I cant understand what she's saying with her broad Scottish accent anyway. (No offence to anyone Scottish) .
I hope Max's chickenpox is clearing up poor little man. My brother caught chickenpox from me when he was 2 months old, I was 5 , my poor mum had to deal with both of us at the same time.
