****October 2014 mummies****

OH's sister telling me what I should and shouldn't be eating. I was sharing a small pack of peanuts with mark and his sister told me I shouldn't be eating them, then she went through a list of stuff I shouldn't eat. I told her they were OK and she wouldn't have it. I was feeling emotional as it was :-(

Aww hunni, there's always someone who thinks they know best! So much harder when your feeling emotional as well xx take no notice xxx

Aww Claire Louise :( that would have really annoyed me too! You should have pulled up the nhs website and showed her that peanuts are now fine to eat! xxx

I was going to send her the link to her on Facebook but it would just cause trouble for Mark. If it was my family I would have done it.

I wouldn't have been able to hold my tongue lol I would have had it up then and there! Lol! I like to prove I'm right, I'm stubborn like that! Lol x

You should've got and got yourself a nice bottle of wine and poured yourself a nice big glass just to see her face ;) like the others say everyone knows best and seems to turn into a doctor when it comes to pregnancy!

I am also panicking a bit at how much there is to do, thankfully I seem to have plenty of energy at the moment - god knows why! But I'm trying to make the most of it before I hit tri 3 and am knackered again! Xxx

Ummm, I've just sent her a private message to her on fb , with the link to the nhs website about peanuts :-)

You go Claire. I wouldn't have been able to resist proving I was right straight away if I'd been you.

I've been an emotional wreck the past 10 days I don't know whats been wrong with me, I couldn't get any internet connection when I was away so she could see the proof . Hopefully she will leave me the hell alone, its not like she even has kids herself.

Hi hope everyone is feeling a bit cooler today?

I'm feeling a little crampy lower down to my left...... is this normal? It's not massively bothering me as have midwife apt tomorrow and it's only on and off just wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

Aww good on ya Claire for telling her! People at work are always sticking their noses in my business about possible baby names telling me they're horrible and I can't possibly use them or perfect and I MUST use them, so annoying!

I don't know if it's the same thing but I get an ache in my right side when I've been walking mail, it's sure it's normal anyway xx

I've hardly been able to keep my eyes open in work today! The heat has wiped me out due to lack of sleep! Still deciding when will be best to go on maternity leave as I need to let them know in next few weeks. The way I feel at min I think I may go off at 36 weeks ~ that gives me 6 and a half weeks of actual work to do :) xx.

Well done Claire! Xx.

I got my Moses basket mattress today so feel better for having done that. I'm going to start working my way through my list xx.

My back is still painful, may have to see the GP if it doesn't ease though I don't think there's much they'll be able to do.

Mali I'm still having slight cramping on times xx

Hope everyone is keeping well xx

I've starting using pillow at night and got a new chair at work with back and neck support and feel 100 times better.

Thanks girls for you support xxx

I've been getting crampy too, I think it must be another growth spert waiting to happen.

I'm on my 2nd week of my holiday off work and I'm really dreading going back it was hard enough before I went off work let alone when I go back next week. I had my mw appointment next Wednesday so I will get my maternity pack, then I will be able to sort my maternity out. Im not really sure when to finish up either, I know I will get 4 weeks holiday owing from this year, so I might just finish up then if I can last until then.
Then i have to consider that if my low lying placenta doesn't move up then I might need to finish up earlier.

Hi ladies.

I'm going on Maternity leave on 19th September and I'll be 38 weeks. It gives me a week and a half to chill out and get ready.
I'm not doing so bad with the heat, what I'm struggling with is baby is lying so low I feel like my bump is totally weighted down. :( I've got a bump support that I think I'll start wearing now as sometimes of can be really painful.
I'm trying not to lift dd so much but I'm failing miserably at that. Lol

x

I'm starting to get a touch of backache but generally feeling good. Really hard not to pick up and carry dd all the time though. I might take maternity as early as 34 weeks as it will be nice to have some quality time with dd1 before dd2 arrives.

Think I'll stick some pillows between my legs tonight in bed too x.

Claire fingers crossed your placenta moves up xx.

That sounds painful Mrs Woody :( xx.

34 weeks sounds good Mustard, I'm looking forward to the break from work tbh. Had a bath earlier and my back hurt so much I was close to tears...never had that before xx

Hi everyone! How are you doing? I've finished all my exams, have just got confirmation i've passed my second degree and i'm now waiting to know if i've passed the compétitive exam. 10 days until i'm on holiday and then straight on to mat leave. Can't wait!

Mali, what you describe sounds like BH. Apparently normal but if they're frequent or really sore maybe contact mw.

Has anyone done their glucose test? I'm just back from HOURS in a lab where they took about a zillion blood samples. It was not pleasant. Now going off to have a nice meal in a restaurant with dd to compensate :)
