****October 2014 mummies****

Hi everybody,
Havnt been on for a fee days and I see a lot to catch up here.
Hope everyone is keeping well.
Got mw tomorrow. Can't believe that came round so fast again.
Actually I had a call that my health visitor is coming round next week. Is anybody else seeing theirs already too? I think it's a little early but I recon they have too many ladys due at the same time that's why I see her so early.
She asked me if I have a birth plan ready... again sommething I am not going go make till I am around 32+ lol
Hope you all have a lovely day...♡♡

Crikey vampysgirl my midwife hasn't mentioned anything about birth plan or health visitor etc! I had my 25 wk apt today and all she did was feel my tummy to make sure size was ok, test my wee, check blood pressure and give me info on classes and what to do if my I think my waters break! Also she mentioned to monitor movements from wk 28... I'm not massively keen on her to be honest!! Heard the heartbeat though which was nice and she said everything else was ok!

Mali did you get your MAT B1 certificate at your midwife appointment today?

Lol I just noticed its my V day today, yay me :-)

Happy V day Claire :)

No mention of birth plans for me yet-I didn't even get asked about one last time! They have however asked me about Antenatal classes (which I've turned down as I'm more than happy with what to expect) and we discussed bfing and if I was planning on do it-yes for me.

My bump feels really tight today-and I'm 26 weeks! So Tri 3 depending on what website you go on! Eeep

Hi girlies hope u are all well. I have been suffering the last couple of days with a sharp pain in my ribs. It's there most of the time and is really uncomfortable. When I am in bed and roll over or go to sit up the pain is really painful, but it's more of a muscle pulling pain when I make these movements. Midwife said it's everything stretching, but why only one side. Has anyone else experienced this?

Well ladies, I had a very special day today. I had my 24 week midwife appointment and heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time :) The two midwives looked at each other and smiled saying it was a really strong heartbeat :) Something that had been on my mind a little as my brother was born with a hole in his heart, and his son was too.

It was such a beautiful moment, I don't think I'll ever forget it :) And, she confirmed that because I'm high risk, I'll get loads more scans, next one at 28 weeks :D You never know, maybe we'll get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl yet!

Thats amazing news twinklin... I bet you are so relieved, it's so nice to hear the heartbeat!

I heard the heartbeat on wednesday at my 25 week apt, he kept moving around so she kept losing it and then finding it ha, he probably didn't like her much like me!

Tinks, I've had this and was told exactly the same thing. I think if you feel it gets worse then call your midwife again. Mine eased off after a few days. I just put it down to growing pains and stretching.

I haven't felt much movement yesterday or this morning. I've just hoping that he's really chilled out and tired like me at the moment! Midwife told me to monitor movements from 28 weeks but she didn't say what I should be looking for. I keep reading forums about how everyones getting loads of movement. I guess it's because I have anterior placenta aswell so everything is more cushioned. Just getting me down a little today and people are trying to wind me up at work... which I am really not in the mood for!!!

Hi ladies !
Happy v day Claire for the other day!

Got my 25 week appointment on mon so looking forward to hearing heartbeat again hopefully :)

I'm still getting movement really low down mostly so hoping the midwife can reassure me that's normal :( I get so worried because I normally only seem to feel him morning and evening and I'm conscious about monitoring movements and how much is normal etc!

Anyway hope everyone's well and has a nice weekend xx

Movements low down is something I get- for me it means that baby is breach and it's the feet kicking about. Only recently have I felt kicks higher up.

Well I have entered the pregnancy uncontrollable rage phase along with bouts of anxiety that makes me feel sick. Awful feeling and I do hope that I can beat it!

I have also had my appointment through for a consultant ion when I'm 37 weeks pregnant so we can determine which way up baby is. If it's breach then though they have talked and turning the baby (which they mentioned last time along with "in my country we delivery breach babies all the time", which was I a bit like "huh, but is that the right thing to do?") but we most likely be straight to c-section again but this time hopefully at 39 weeks. Otherwise they will leave me to try a VBAC if baby is right way up all the way to 42 weeks- at that point they can't induce but i'd have a c-section.

In another news I just had a dream that baby was scheduled to be born on the 15th. In my dream my midwife was adamant this was the date I would deliver- to which I scoffed! Plus it's my names birthday date anyway.

Morning Ladies!!

I'm being an early bird today, iv had my 5 month old niece over night for the first time ever... I'm lying awake at stupid o'clock and she's still sleeping, I actually think she's the perfect baby, I have never once heard her cry, no one believes me when I say that but it's true she is so content!

Tinks I haven't had this but my friend did, it annoyed her for weeks and it was just on her left side, midwife said the same about stretching I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and hopefully it will go soon!

So lovely to hear the heartbeat twinklin :) and yay to more scans!!

As for movements ladies, I turned 26weeks on Thursday and only this past week or so I'm feeling movements all over, it was all down very low! I wouldn't worry. And Mali my baby has quiet days too, yesterday was very quiet but the day before I had so much movement, I figure they just tire themselves out sometimes and have a chill day now and then :)

I was speaking to the midwife at my Hypnobirthing class and she mentioned my anterior placenta could mean a higher risk of baby being back to back, has anyone heard this before? She said some babies will turn as their head engages but because of the cord being attached to the front it's more natural for the baby to lie with it's belly to the front, she also asked am I feeling movements all over, which I am now... She said baby's just lying like a starfish and kicking away so I'm getting the movements all over.

Don't think I have anything else to report lol... Oh Iv had so many people tell me they think I'm having a boy, and I have that feeling too I think! I was really struggling with boys names but I think we might go for Jamie and then Robert as a middle name, my brother, my dad, my grandpa and my great grandpa are all Robert so it covers plenty of people and follows a tradition even though my surname is now different to all of theirs which makes me a little sad.

This munchkin is still sleeping so I suppose I should try and go back to sleep, don't think il be able to though lol. Sorry for the early morning essay! Hope you all have a lovely weekend xxx

Thanks coach. We managed to get a deal at kiddicare. I've reading up , we bought a maxi cosi car seat , do you need the adapters to connect the car set to the oyster chassis?

We got the Maxi Cosi too :) yea you need adapters, they seem to be around £18 x

I didn't realise you needed them until we got home, typical lol, what colour did you get your pushchair in?

Yes I forgot about them too lol I'm just going to order online! I got it in black, you went for the grey didn't you? The sample one in the shop I got mine in was grey and it is very nice!

I am going to get the grey colour pack but the offer in the shop was for the mirror chassis with the spice colour pack, its nice its like a burnt orange colour but I'm still going to get the grey that I want. At least I will have a choice or if the child gets the other one too dirty.
