****October 2014 mummies****

Evening girls how are we all? My ankles are a bit swollen today, haven't had much energy probadly the heat, and my muscles/ligaments low down have been uncomfortable when walking.

Loving feeling baby kick, my hubby was talking to baby last night and layed his head on my tummy, baby gave him a boot in the face haha it was quite funny albeit lovely

Its V day for me tomorrow! Can't believe it really,.going so quick. Part of me is glad it's going quick as can't wait to meet our baby, the other part of me is sad that it's going so quick but want to try and enjoy every day. I hope maternity leave doesn't go this quick!

Need to get our bums into gear really with decorating the nursery, as don't want to be too big and uncomfortable to do it.

Tinks - my feet have been mightily swollen today too. Even wore a dress to work for the first time ever today! (been there 2.5 years) :P I don't normally do dressed, but my maternity jeans don't really fit very well anymore and I have one dress (maxi) so figured I'd wear it :)

Also, when I got home, because I wasn't wearing tight jeans, I saw my first kick through my belly, was amazing!

My baby's been a bit quiet today..... Hope it's not coz I was moving furniture around? I took 2 days off sick and had some proper nesting going on today. I did take the drawers out so it was lighter to move!
I daren't get my legs out now they are too horrible and swollen like my feet but I just keep thinking that I've got the rest of the summer to look forward to and it's only going to get worse, I think this is the only year I'll ever wish for a cold rainy summer lol!

Good morning ladies.

How is everyone today?

It's V day for me today so very happy to get to this point. On the downside, I am off work today as have a very sore lower back and could barely move by the end of the day yesterday. Not good when you're in charge of 30 10 year olds!

Anyway happy V day to Tinks too and anyone else who has hit this landmark today!

Yay happy V day mrsgriff and anyone else that's reached this special day.

Hope the back improves mrsgriff I feel ur pain. I've been going to a chiropractor and it's really helped me. Some nights I can't get comfortable and then wake up with a stiff sore back. I've bought a dreamgini pillow of a friend for a bargain £10 and picking it up at the weekend, hopefully it will help Xx

Oh wow, I've been a bit MIA and missed loads!

Congratulations to all of you who have reached their V day! Mine isn't for another week and a half, but will be nice to reach it :)

Hope you are all well! Will try to catch up with what I missed soon.

Xx

Congratulations to all the ladies reaching V day!! Time is starting to go fast. I was 21 weeks yesterday and still can't believe it. Xx

Evening, we are back from holidays. It was lovely to have time to relax and to exercise. I am going to carry on swimming as it really felt nice. Also 1 of the families, the lady was a midwife so I felt very secure thinking that if there is an emergency I will just ask her if nesessary.
Bump is growing like crazy I weighted myself today and I have put already 24 pounds and I am only 24 weeks on Tuesday. Quite scary to think what size I will be when the time comes in 4 months time.

Happy V day to everyone who already reached it. Xx

This is probably a really daft question considering ive already had a baby but how many clothes do you need?

Ive got tons of clothes to sort through from newborn, 0-3 & 3-6 but didn't want to have tons of clothes that wont be worn? Ive completely forgot how many vests and sleep suits i had with myah :/

Hi All

Anyone recommend anything to help with back pain? im really struggling

Glad you had a lovely hol KatB! I find swimming great until I get out of the pool and I feel like I weigh 10 tonnes! Lol!

Sorry I can't help Katie I have no idea!

And I'm watching this space sallyb because I'm really struggling too! Mw has told me to see the GP so I have an appointment on thurs morn xox

ohh let me know hoe it goes CoachQueenie. I'm going to go to my GP if gets any worse as sitting at a desk all day is becoming a nightmare and don't want to get signed off.

Will do Sally, for my job I'm also sitting down all day in the car and it's not nice, come evening time I am properly hobbling, although I'm finding today I'm still hobbling and I haven't been sitting around all day, so I think either way it's bad x

Hi ladies, for back pain try alternating between hot n cold for 15 minutes each. I use ice pack n water bottle. I bought a belt recommended by my gp and wear of a day and it does the trick for now. I also try get my other half to massage me between shifts. I have found lowering the pillow my heads on useful when trying to sleep also seems to help a bit. Xx

Sorry Katie no much of a help from my side but will follow your question.

Sorry no back problems yet Sally, hip pain instead :(

Ive got about 15 sleepsuits from my first And probably 10 vests. This will be all you need really for the first month at least.

So i went for a walk round à forest yesterday and have been bitten to death. The bugs must know that i have loads of blood at the minute!!

On a seperate note. Anyone been suffering from anxiety? Mine has peaked and i am not sure what is tiggering it- maybe the heat? I am due to go on holiday in a few weeks and i think i am getting nervous about flying And flying when pregnant. Flying does not normally bother me, but i havent flown since the last airplane incidents- so i dont know if thats giving me anxiety. I think maybe the being pregnant has a great deal to do with it.c
