****October 2014 mummies****

Happy V Day Sally :) Hope you had a lovely holiday.

How is everyone today?

I had a rubbish night's sleep last night, I was hot, uncomfortable and needed a wee every 5 mins, not great. Also I think the penny has dropped that time is going really fast and I feel like I have so much to do, at home, for the baby and at work!

Anyone else got a really active baby? My little monkey seems to be on the go constantly! It's so different from Max, he seemed to sleep all day. I just hope this doesn't indicate this baby won't be a sleeper like it's brother! xxx

I'm off work sick today, hips hurting and feel really sick and tired. so Goibg back to bed in a bit. Had midwife this morning which was fine although I forgot to ask about matb form I need For work.

Mines really active also, seems to kick more at night though.

Happy v day for last Saturday sally, I hope you had a great holiday. :-)

Hope all you girlies are well xxx

I've got 2 weeks off work now, we are going to have a few days away at the end of the week to north devon. I'm going to find it so hard going back to work when these 2 weeks are up.

Yesterday I had my re scan, and I couldn't believe how well my baby behaved, mind you I have been giving the monster a talking too though, and k never had any sugar yesterday so that might have helped :-) the scanner asked if I wanted to find out the gender and I very nearly caved in, I had to force myself to say no thank you we don't want to find out.
I don't know if anyone saw my post yesterday, but I have a low placenta , I have to go back at 32 weeks to see if the placenta have moved higher, if not then I will have to have a c section, I'm really hoping that's not the case because I won't be able to have the baby at the little local hospital of my choice . But I have been reading up on low lying placenta and in most cases it does move higher, fingers crossed mine does too. Xxx

Claire I hope your placenta will move as they say. It would be so nice to have a chance of natural birth. Well done for sticking to team yellow, sounds like they really trying to challenge your strong will. Have fun in North Devon and enjoy your 2 weeks of freedom :)

Taffy I am struggling with sleep currently painful hips, just tossing and turning. Trying all sorts of pillow arrangements but not too much luck. Little one also very active since we arrived on our holidays, we had head bumps near my ovaries, feet kicks above belly button, bump attack straight into bladder, roughly 2h sleep then 15 mins craziness during day routine, unfortunately he seems to be voice shy so as soon I will start talking or call my oh he gets quiet.

Hi girls haven't been on here for a while, had my V day Sunday so really happy to get to this stage...
I have been really struggling to sleep. Had about 1 hour on Sunday night and was so upset and tired when I woke I gave myself a headache... still came to work though not sure why. Not sure ehy I didn;t sleep just tossing and turning, paranoid about sleeping on my back, backache etc. Not even baby moving as have anterior placenta so only really just started to get a few flutterings. Anyway I do feel a little better today but thinking about taking a couple of days off sick as really need to catch up on sleep and have some me time. I haven't been off sick for nearly 4 years and already feeling bad about thinking about doing it... I have unofficailly sorted cover so I know they can get my shift covered. What do you think?? Shall I?

I would take a couple of days off too rest, with this hot weather its been a bugger trying to get comfy, you need as much rest as possible for you and your baby. And go girl for not having any sick time off in nearly 4 years, you deserve a few days off. I hope you sleep well tonight xxxx and congratulation on your v day last Sunday :-)

Thank you, I think I kind of feel bad as I have planned it! And although I don't feel ill I just feel that |I really need some time at home. I've had such a busy few weekends. Even to catch up on some housework would make me feel better! ha ha!

Go for it Mali, after having 4 years without sick off and with cover sorted I think you can treat yourself... Especially that it is more of a necessity then treat.

I'm with the girls Mali... You need some you time and it's well deserved!!

Congrats to everyone reaching V Day! I have been quiet on here for a while, just been totally flat out!

Iv also been having hip and back trouble :(

I have my 25 week midwife appointment in the morning and will hopefully hear babies heartbeat for the first time so I'm excited for that :)

Hope everyone is keeping well xxx

Thank you!

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow it's so reassuring listening to the heartbeat.. I heard mine at 16wk apt so can't wait till next week to hear again at my 25wk. Especially as I have anterior placenta so only really feel flutterings and that's only recently....

Yea Mali I have an anterior placenta too and only feeling proper movements the last week and a half or so, but I'm now able to feel some very light taps from the outside with my hand which is great :)

Thanks :) we don't get 16 week appointments over here, I think 25 weeks is a lol time to wait to hear heartbeat! I hope she let's me record it so DH can hear! x

Hi ladies!

I've not really posted much on here recently.

I'm really struggling to get my head around having baby number 2 to the point I feel like there is. I bond atm?
Im thrilled that we are having a baby and feel very blessed to be having another but I'm just struggling to imagine life with two.
Feel like I'm mourning the loss of having time with just me and Lady m, I don't want her to feel pushed out that she has to share her mummy.
Please tell me this is all normal for second time mummies?!

Apart from this, life is good and baby is very active. Lots of movement and kicks which always makes me smile.
I'm looking into doing pregnancy yoga in the hope it will help me during labour.
I have my 25 week appointment on Thursday too.

Lovely and sunny here in somerset, I hope you've all been able to enjoy the weather x

I can imagine how you are feeling about not wanting lady m to feel left out, I keep thinking how my little doggy Lucy will cope with a baby around the house , she's always been one spoilt girl . I know from what my mum told me that she felt the same when she was pregnant with my brother and not wanting to leave me out. Im sure your little family will be fine when you get into a new routine . Xxx

I've got too many stinky farm smells in my part of Somerset at the moment lol

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking about but not posting much recently. Not had much to say which is new for me lol xx

Mrs woody I feel the same about my son. I worry about how he'll feel and never want him to feel like he's lost a bit of me. He's so excited he's telling everyone ( even the dentist lol ) and I hope he doesn't feel disappointed. Also worry about splitting me time between them. I'm sure these are natural worries and it will all fall into place when baby arrives. I'm already planning on having little things I can do to make Joseph realise he's loved as much as ever xxxx

I'm enjoying feeling kicks too :) lovely feeling xx

I'm loving the weather as long as I'm not sitting directly in the sun if that makes sense though finding it hard to sleep xx

Hope everyone is keeping well, I'm feeling big and heavy at the moment and looking forward to some time off work in the summer ~ enjoy your time off Claire, I'm well jealous! Xxx

Hi girls. Tried to catch up with this thread but so much is going on just scanned a bit. I'm back from my hols in cornwall. Had a wonderful sunny week and dd loved the beach. I'm glad to be back to my own bed as found my caravan mattress really hard to sleep on and my hips were getting sore. Back aching a bit after 6hr drive home as well. Baby 2 very active though which is nice.
Congrats to all those reaching v day and all the healthy scans.

V day!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Mali, I'm off this week to rest and prepare for my exams, but tbh I really could go into work. I felt really guilty at first, but now I'm thinking this is bliss! I'm actually taking time for naps which is unheard of for me. Enjoy your time off!

Coach, hope you have a lovely appointment. How special hearing the heart beat for the first time!

Mrswoody, I feel the same and my daughter's 8! I've spent all these years with her being my only diamond and now I'm having another girl (which is why I'd thought having a boy might be easier). Only this morning I was talking to bump and using the same nicknames I give my daughter and then I felt really bad about it because I thought these pet names belonged to her only.

Congrats on all the Vdays! Next step is tri 3...

Congrats pips it's amazing to get to your v day isn't it! Well I've taken today off and wow what a difference a day makes! Just to catch up on a little housework and watch rubbish tv and sleep. I think every employer should give pregnant staff duvet days because everyone needs them. Xx

Hey all! I haven't been on for ages and I am feeling so behind it…. can I ask what V day stands for lol?

Thank you for the reassurance ladies, it's reassuring to know it's not just me that has these worries. I'm sure they will subside soon enough :)
I did look out all the newborn upto 3mobths baby grows and vests we have and I'll need a few other bits and pieces which is good.

Caroline V day is when you reach 24 weeks and if baby were to be born they have a higher percentage chance of survival. I'm sure V stands for viable? x

Congrats on V Day pips!!!! Yea I think your right Mrs Woody I think it stands for viable!

A bit disappointed with my 25 week appointment today, it took a while for MW to find the heartbeat, I wasn't too worried because baby had been kicking in the waiting room, but when she did find the heartbeat she said "that's junior" and then there was 2 seconds max after that and then it was gone and that was it, she didn't try and look for it again, so I heard the heartbeat for a maximum of about 5 seconds 3 of which I didn't know that's what I was hearing!! I booked my 28 week appointment for 3 weeks time and hope she has another go then!

Really struggling in this heat... We hit 25.5 degrees today and I spend all day in the car, and the air con just wasn't cutting it! Gosh I'm doing a lot of complaining today!

Looking forward to one born every min tonight!! xxx
