I have been giving Jake smooth peanut butter for ages now and was thinking about introducing him to other nuts. I know he can't have whole peanuts but what about other nuts like cashews and walnuts etc. Do you think it's best to chop them up small for him so he can eat them on there own or is it best to puree them in with his food. I am a bit worried about him choking on them but I would like to introduce them in to his diet because I know they are full of goodness.
 
I found this info, not sure if it helps:

Whole nuts and seeds must be avoided until the age of five as young children can easily choke on them. Ground or puréed nuts and seeds are fine and nutritious, for example smooth peanut butter, tahini (sesame seed paste) or ground almonds.

The nuts stephen has are in his hazlenut choc spread, im too much of a worrywart to let him have peanut better yet as i ate it all through my pregnancy with him!
