Hi all

Wondered whether anyone has any experience / thoughts about nursing chairs. I am keen to get one but they vary in price such a lot and don't want to make an expensive mistake.

Thanks for any thoughts...! :)

Oooh I really want a nice chair for the nursery too but the ones I've seen are £200 :-(

They really are expensive aren't they?! I am just browsing online and some of the 'Dutailier' make ones are upwards of £400!!! The cheapest I've seen is just over £100. Seems a huge difference!

They are amazing!! Try them out in John lewis' ? You can get some on eBay too xx

I'm def having one, I just think they will be so useful for quite a few years.
I've seen them in babies r us for 150 xx

I got one this time around as i heard brilliant stories about them, all though i havent used the chair yet, the foot stool is great through pregnancy :) x x

I'm keeping a close eye on eBay. If I manage to get one it'll be put back on eBay when I don't need it anymore.

Just looked on Ebay and there seem to be quite a few there too. They seem to get quite a few bids too, so always good to sell on afterwards.

The ones in John Lewis arereally nice but are around £300-£400! I looked on ebay and it seems like they do very similar ones for anything from £90 onwards so id prob get one on ebay when i need one x

I think I might take a trip to John Lewis to try one out, but £300-£400 is really too much to pay! Ebay seems to be the way to go!

I GOT A HAUCK GLIDER USED ONCE... LITERALLY STILL HAD THE PLASTIC WRAP ON IT FROM GUMTREE. COST ME £50!!!! I LOOKED UP THE MODEL ONLINE, AND IT WAS A £350 CHAIR AND FOOTSTOOL!! COULDNT BELIEVE IT!
i HAVE SAT IN THE CHAIR AND READ TO BUMP LOADS, AND WHEN I CANT SLEEP, IT IS SO COMFY!!
i THINK IT IS WELL WORTH GETTING, AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU FIND A BARGAIN!!
mY MUM HAS MADE 2 SETS OF COVERS FOR THE CHAIR AND STOOL THAT MATCH THE COT BUMPER AND CURTAINS TOO SO THEY CAN BE WASHED... XXX

WOW, Ceris! Sounds like you got a real bargain there! Hadn't thought about it's uses during pregnancy - think I might see about getting one sooner rathe than later. Thanks Guys for all your comments! :)

I don't know how much she paid for it or even if it will do the same job but my OH mum bought us a rocking chair from a charity shop, before I saw it I thought it was going to be naff but it's in really good condition and I guess it will soothe the little one as well, but I don't know if it will be as good as a proper chair yet :) x
