Hi Girls,

Well as you know I had a nightmare last cycle, nightmare OV, chemical pregnancy the works!!

I have what will be my 4th fertility appointment tomorrow and I'm gonna make sure I'm taken seriously and I want answers to all the questions I have.

I'm having a bit of cauterization on my cervix tomorrow, as I have something called an ectopy that confuses my smear results so I have to fix it up before I can start Clomid.

I'm convinced I have a luteal phase deficiency and need progesterone to support the second part of my cycle and I'm gonna get my CD21 bloods re checked as one result was borderline and the other was good, however on that cycle I had only a 9 day luteal phase which doesn't quite add up too me???

Also what's spurred me on is finding out last night one of my best friends is preggers, has just found out at 11 weeks and had the scan yesterday and she was on the pill and still had her periods, and to top it off she's been partying pretty hard too. It may sound like the story of a young and irresponsible girl but she's 30 with a great career and openly said she wasn't maternal and didn't really want kids, that's why I'm really glad this has happened to her and her OH as they will be great parents- they are really happy too now!

So I'm all revved up and ready to go tomorrow...!!!:twisted::twisted:;);)

xx

Good luck for tomorrow Maybe!

I hope you've been keeping alright, you've been a bit quiet ;)

I don't know about you having a LP deficiency, but i definately think they could be doing more to support any pregnancy you have and i don't see why they wouldn't be able to offer you progesterone with that being the most obvious possible cause of your chemicals.

It won't cure anything, but if it allows you to carry to term then who gives a crap. You can worry about cure when you have your baby :)

I hope the cervical proceedure thing goes as well as it can

Go in there and give em what for and don't take no for an answer!! :shakehead:
You know your body better than anyone else so lets hope you have a good doctor who will actually listen to what you have to say and not try and fob you off with a load of dribble!! I hope everything goes ok with the ectopy and its not painful for you xxx

Go maybe!! Louise is proof that persistence pays off ;)
Seriously tho make sure u get them to sit up and take notice xx

I would say the cause to the chemicals is your short luteal phase...is there nothing you can take for it? Even herbal stuff to help? Sorry about your shitty cycle this month. xxx

Yey you have joined the assertive club! hehe :D I hope everything goes well at your appointment. If you're not happy with what they are saying then keep asking questions till you are. I have found it pays off to be annoying!
Not sure about LP, mine is kinda similar and seems to change length every month between 10 and 17 days...... deffo worth asking about though xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

hi hun, I hope your fertility appointment goes well and you remember all those questions that you need to ask them

Good luck x x x

You go Maybe!!!! Give em wha ya got!!! (said in Jerry Springer stylee) xx

best of luck for tomorrow hunny! i'm not 100% but i think i read something once about short LP needing to be at least 9 days?! it may have something to do with it.

also, remember i had the same low cd21 result as you and i still fell preggers! really hope you get this all sorted out soon hun xxxxx

Yay you go girl!! Hope it goes well for you xx

Good luck for today maybe! Hope everything has gone great! Looking out for your update xx

best of luck for today hun  hope it goes well and you show em who's boss ;-) xx

Thanks for all your posts girls here's how it went...

I get there with Hubby and go in to the consultation room my fertility doc and ask him if I can ask a few questions I forgot to last time-

Can I have my lining thickness and Progesterone double-checked?

Can I have/why haven’t I already had a vaginal ultrasound?

Does it mean that my tubes are clear if I have experienced chemical
pregnancies?

What can cause recurrent chemical pregnancies?

My Progesterone results- his interpretation?

FSH results- his interpretation?

Double LH surges- is this a PCOS related worry?

Can I discuss my ultrasound results in detail including borderline PCOS?

Why do you not think it is necessary to do a HSG ?

He basically said that he doesn't think there is anything wrong with me, but he understands I have been trying for longer than normal for my age and that he's happy to help me out with Clomid in 4 months if I'm not preggers by then, he said there was no point repeating the CD21's now but I will have them done along with Clomid and the ovary scans, he did warn me that Clomid does cause miscarriages though.

He said a vaginal ultrasound doesn't really tell you much more than the normal one.

He said that he would like to try Clomid before doing a HSG.

He doesn't seem at all concerned about my chemical pregnancies.

He thinks OPKs are pointless and misleading and told me not to bother in future.

I think he thought I was a bit mental going in there and diagnosing myself, he was like where on earth are you getting all this information?? I got an " I told you you were reading too much crap in the internet!" look of Hubby at that point and gave up.

I didn't believe really believe it when people said just chill out, carry on as normal and it will happen, and I never believed the stories about people who got pregnant on the pill and by accident, but it genuinely has happened to one of my good friends this week and I'm thinking you know what maybe I'm taking TTC a tad too seriously so I'm having a forced break this month due to my treatment and then I'm back TTC with no OPKs and not HPTs, the only way hubby got me to agree to that was a BD every other day rule!!

I don't feel like I've been fobbed off, he genuinely thinks I'm ok so I guess time will tell whether he's right or not....

xx

Glad you got some answers hunny, he sounds very reasuring, here hoping you get your :bfp: soon x x
