As I have previously posted, I have four daughters - Amber Ruby Pearl and Sapphire. Baby 5 due in June. If we have a boy we are not goi g with the theme - plenty of names to chose from for him.
If we have a girl, we were planning to stick with the gem theme but truth be told, we just don't love any of the remaining names enough! Do you think it would matter if we went off theme if we have a girl? We both love Tabitha June! Xx

I think Tabitha is a beautiful name with a lovely shortened version too. I think it's far better to choose a name you both love than to stick with your theme.

I agree! It's more important to choose a name you love rather than one that sticks to the theme. Your baby will carry that name for the rest of her (or his) life, so it should be a name you are 100% sure about - and Tabitha is a lovely name. You should definitely go for it if that's the name you love!

The only down I can see with not sticking with your theme is your 5th daughter might feel left out when they're older.

Lovely name - what about adding amber or diamond or jewell , etc as a middle name or extra middle name just incase for her

If you do not like any of the suggested names why should you force yourself? Forget about that "gem theme" and go on with the name you like-)) But I do love name Amber and I would call 5th daughter Amber;-)) But it is only me;-)

Like giuliaplus2 said, it's more important that you like the name but you also have to consider that your child may feel left out. My sister recently had a baby and he was named after a family member but her older daughter then felt left out as she hadn't been named after anyone.
Jade is a gem name, even if your don't use a gem name as a first name you could always use one as a middle name.
Tabitha Jade would be cute.

Another alternative could be the name Gemma as she could still be your little 'gem'.
Or maybe names that has a colour meaning as your girls names can also be colours too:
Coral
Carmine
Jasmine
Scarlett
Sienna
Violet

Good luck choosing a name though :)

I like the idea of using a colour name. That way all your girls will be linked but has more options
