Not happy...

Had a message on the answer machine from my midwife... They want to "swap" my antenatal classes with another lady and put me in the next lot! I wouldn't mind if I hadn't been trying to get booked in for 3 months before I finally did and they wouldn't help me out!

Gonna have a moan when I go down there tomorrow and find out why on EARTH they want to swap me when she said that I really do need to get booked onto them when I last saw her!

TBH you don't want to do them too late in your pregnancy... I'd try and stick to your guns if possible.

I spoke to mymidwife on mon my antenatal classes r all turn up no booking req which is handy x

I only booked mine yesterday and the midwife seemed a bit miffed that I'd left it so late. The earliest she could get me in for my first one was 8th June! So I'll be close to popping by the time they finish! If it doesn't suit you to swap just say to them hun. x

I'm definitely not swapping if i can help it... I mean they're the 18 and 25 of may and the 1 june... So I'll only be 29 weeks when i finish them... And tbh I dont think I'm gonna want to be doing them after 30 weeks-ish :/ I'll see how things go xx

I had my antenatal class on monday, if you can stick to your original antenatal dates then do it, because when I was pregnant with brooke I got put on the late courses I think I was around 31wks when had my 1st one and I never got to finish them as I went into labour early 2weeks later! Xx

I would make a huge fuss about jow you had to cancel appointments to attend for your original dates and would be very unhappy if you had to change them again.
Its not fair that you have to change you booked in before the other lady.

OK, spoke to them and I'm not swapping... She was almost forcing me to though! When I said "sorry I can't make the next dates" she suggested I swap to the course after that and they finish the day before my due date! Disgusting how they treat people!

I'm not happy with the way I have been treated in general at the children's centre and am seriously considering swapping to a different midwife elsewhere. Not just with the antenatal classes but other things as well.. It's disgusting.

Glad u stuck to your guns! Because my partner is in the army and wants to come with me we needed the full Saturday slot. I tried to book ages in advance an was told to ring back in a few weeks as there was lots of spaces. I rang just 1week later and now the only class is when I'm 37+4! I was so pissed off, all she could say was they would call if any of the others on Saturdays before delivered early!

I wouldn't expect somebody who was booked on to swap with me though! Good for u! Xxx
