No Piggy for me

My OH doesn't eat pork, it's part of his religion and until he came to the UK he had never tried it. He eventually tried it but felt really guilty and hasn't tried it again.

He has never stopped me eating it and is fine with it being in the fridge etc. But today he has told me that while ever I'm pregnant I am not to eat any kind of pork. He doesn't want his baby being fed pig!

Now I want nothing more than a bacon sandwich!! Is it wrong to eat pork in secret for the next 8 months?? LOL

Ok wonderful, it's a deal, if he asks I've not been eating bacon sandwiches, ham sandwiches, pork pies, sausage rolls, pork chops, scotch eggs, pigs liver, black pudding, sausages................hmmmmmm really want some pork now lol.

Will have to wait until I'm at work tomorrow now booooooo!!!

Omg! Bless you! Some days bacon is all I've managed to eat! I have a massive hankering for salty meat (not in a revolting way either, I can assure you!) so bacon has been my preferred choice! Perhaps if he thought you wouldn't eat anything else he would let you??? Xxxx

OH NOOOOOOO!! I love bacon sarnies, I can under stand thats his religion but come on your a pregnant woman, since finding out ive been pregnant all i have wanted is a runny egg sandwhich
Eat bacon at work but then brush your teeth before u get home. MMMMMMMM thinking of bacon i may have one for my brekkie. xx

haha i wouldn't know what to do if my OH told me i can't eat bacon...theres already so many yummy things we can't eat taking bacon away is just cruel!

Just out of wonderment...is this because your child will be brought up with his religion?

Its bad enough I'm restricted on how much chocolate I can eat without taking bacon away from me.

I had a ham sandwich for lunch - it's never tasted better

I don't do religion and neither does OH really, he doesn't pray or visit the mosque, it's more his family pushing him and telling us our baby will be brought up Muslim. He is trying to please them I think. I'm not too bothered, they live in a different country so won't be able to influence as much as they think they will.

Haha..i wouldn't give up my bacon/man/sausages/just pig in general either! but if you have to give up something you love for 9months make him give something up too! I think thats only fair!
