Nightfeeds Chat Thread

It can all change in the blink of an eye! No room for complacency! Every hour we get is a blessing ;-)

Too true. We used to get 5 hour stretches. We lucky to get 3 now!! :-/

Tell me about it. From 3 months, E went up to 7 hours in one stretch, now this 4th leap has really messed with her and she sleeps between 2-4 hours in one go. I want my old baby back!
She won't feed properly either tonight and I couldn't get her to sleep so she's down with us watching the ironman championship. Doesn't look like it's going to be a good night :-(

Since Callie changed to enfamil AR for reflux she has fed at 10 -11pm then awake at 5-5.30am I woke at 4am to check she was ok. Then up at 8-9am. A different baby. Not bad at 7 weeks.

I think it was also Joshua's last leap that kicked his sleep pattern out of place. He was having whiney days and rubbish nights.

Ive also had to reduce his bottles from 5oz to 4oz as he eats less now!?

Today he went down a bit later at 10.10pm! His routine times have been sleep 9.30-1.30, 2-4.30, 5-8

See you at 1.30!

Hey glowing, that's great! Glad things are better :-)

Well last night was definitely a one off! I've noticed she sleeps longer if I put her down in a deep sleep, but most nights I put her down drowsy and let her self settle. She will do it but doesn't seem to sleep as well. But shes slept 8.30 - 1.30 so can't complain. We were in bed by 9!
She's also gone 24h now with no poo. She always poos in every nappy so this is very odd!

Far musta been poorly those nights she slept through poor thing. Up at 2am like clockwork. Hope she goes straight to sleep again after this bottle xx

Oh dear... We are having our first ever night where where nothing will settle Max.. He had boob, bottle, cuddles.. Still won't stop crying and go back to sleep. He has a cold so think that is probably why, but it doesn't make for feeling any less helpless ;-( xxx

Oh my god!!!!!

Harrison just slept from 9pm-5am :o :o :o :o

I cannot believe it!!

He had a 6oz bottle of formula & both boobs before bed though, which I thought was odd as he normally just has 4 or 5oz of formula.

I literally cannot express how happy I am right now!

That's brilliant Sara, I'm
Looking forward to those days lol x

Awww Claire, that's horrible! Not had that yet and I'm dreading.

Spin if Hannah went to sleep that early so would I@ good call!

Just doing first feed, went down at 12 as usual so nearly 5 hours as usual. I expect loud sleep from now on. Once she actually goes back down that is!

Sara that's bloody fantastic! Woohoo!
Claire, poor u & max. It's horrible when they have a cold...we were naughty and resorted to calpol...but omg after an hour what a difference!

Were up for feed 2. This is very unusual. She usually just wakes once in the night then again at 7ish. But I guess when she does wake it's usually for a couple of hours but tonight she settled straight to sleep so she's probably had enough sleep. Hoping booby will settle her!

Still waiting for poo-splosion though!

Thankyouuu!

The only things we did differently are: we changed from level 1 teats to level 2, he had formula & boob before bed, and I put him in a 2.5tog sleeping bag instead of blankets.

I feel so rested!

That's amazing Sara. Bet u do feel rested. Sleeping bags are great. Can't wait to get my little man in one.

He went it bed at 10. Up at 3 and 6. Just want him up at 7 rather than 6. Otherwise can complain. X

I'd love another night like that Sara! :-D great aren't they!

Not bad here I guess.
10.10-2.30. 2.45-6.20 then 6.40-8 and his now giving OH big morning smiles

Wow gooo Harrison!!!! Did u go to bed at 9 too to get full advantage?

Well thankfully in the end OH took him downstairs and managed it eventually settle him and brought him back to bed at about 4ish, then he slept again until 7:30 so wasn't as bad as I feared it would be in the end.. Not that I'd want the screaming 2 hour session again anytime soon! We have Calpol before he first went to bed but that in itself winds him up as he doesn't like it so didnt give it again. How long did Mollie's cold last Zoe?! Any advice? Xx

Morning ladies! Hannah did 12-4.45, 5.30-8.30 then another 75 mins in bed with me! So I'm feeling a lot better as I actually slept nearly all Tue time she did. Good girl !

Sounds like mostly decent nights on here? Although I'm sorry max isn't well Claire. Hope he's better tonight!
