Oh dear ms clairey hope its not too horrendous. I'm hoping for a better night tonight, I'm starting to feel quite ill with how tired I am. I'm starting to not be able to think straight or concentrate & I'm worried I'm going to do something stupid whilst looking after H x
J slept for about 2 hours between 8.30 and 8 today. He really isnt sleeping much in the day at the moment. But last night, he slept for 7 and half hours between 9 and 6. Im starting to think he must know when sleep time is! But I doubt it as he is only a month old.?? X
Im only just having my dinner. OH was due to finish work at 8 and home at 8.30 for dinner but he still hasnt left and I werent waiting any longer as all ive eaten since I got up at 6am is a few pringles and a few milk buttons! Lol. And ive only had one drink all day too! Today has passed so quickly but also seems like the longest day ever.
Just starting our Marathon evening feed usually lasts an hour, Toby is still only gaining weight slowly and at two weeks isn't up to his birth weight so will need to continue with 2 hourly feeds- starting to get quite tiring!! May see you all later if I have the presence of mind to come on and post!!
Yip the little dude has been up twice crying now. Think it's teething though also because he's poorly just now I think he just wants mummy all the time x
My lovely little man Spencer 28/2/2013 6lbs 3.5ozs
She's now feeding for the third time. She's screamed between each feed constantly. Hubby and me are shattered and are just taking it out on each other.
I've just had to take ibuprofen and paracetamol just to get me through the feed. It is complete agony and I'm seriously considering quitting BF.
So far this bedtime routine has taken almost 6h and she hadn't slept in her basket for over ten mins.
I can't even try co sleeping as even lying on our bed sets off the next bout of screams. We literally don't know what to do
Spin sugar have you spoken to your health visitor for advice? You have been trying so hard but it's not right that you should be in pain or that she is screaming non stop. Is she gaining weight ok? Wondering if she has colic? Have you tried Infacol or colief? Or thought about infant massage?
Ive been where you are with my first daughter, we ended up walking around with we in the sling taking it in shifts to get her off or driving her about in the car. Hang on in there it does get better I promise but I would speak to someone again- your go or Hv- she could have a reflux which makes it uncomfortable for her to lie down or something else very easily rectifiable. Thinking of you lots xx just one other thing- there is a charity you can phone for support called crysis- they support parents of babies who are very ubsettlef and sometimes just new someone to offload to.
Harrison has been up since 2.30 I've given him a bottle of expressed as I can't be dealing with the battle of wills that is bfing. Hopefully he will just go straight back down x
Aww spin I know how frustrating it can be and its made 10 times worse when tiredness kicks in and you take it out on each other. Agree with Ellie and talk to your HV if you haven't already hun? Don't feel bad if you have to give up BF - you've tried and done it for as long as you can and she has got a lot of the best stuff from you over the last 4 weeks xx
