Omg your right, that's scary! Tbh I have lost all concept of date and time!

Hope JJ has a good night. Mollie just won't settle, I'm still trying to get her to sleep in her basket! Will be a long night. By the time she settles she will be due another feed!

Have u considered doing a dream feed with JJ?

Xx

It just settled J. He was fighting sleep. So frustrating. See you in a few hours. Good luck spin and Kelly.

I read about a dream feed. As the other night I got him up when he was stirring and he was still sleeping but asbi was awake I fed him anyway and I thought. . I wonder whether this is a dream feed? Lol. But it wasnt. It said to try feed them at 10? Im not 100% on what it is.

Hope mollie has settled for u and gives u a few hours.
Joshua woke me at 12.20, just put him back down but I don't think he is settled enough as he is grunting like a little piggy.

<PROUDLY JOINS THREAD>
Just bf my beautiful new daughter. Our second night! I had zero sleep last night as Hannah wouldn't settle in the cot, only on me and I did manage a couple of very mild snoozes but also had obs being taken, injections given, blood taken, her blood sugars etc. It was hectic in here!
Been such a good girl all day, perfectly behaved when grandma and grandad came and fed lots. Then actually went to sleep in the cot at bedtime!!! I had a couple of 40 min slots of sleep that felt amazing!!!

She's falling asleep on the boob now, a constant trick. I'm a talking dummy I think. Meant to be feeding every 3 hours due to size but she tends to feed at least this often anyway

Anyway... Hi!! :-) sorry, I waffled! xxx

Hi! 2 hours already seems like a dream. Ha ha

As I'm so tired bf makes me struggle to stay awake. It's like being drugged. Plus the fact I'm drugged. Haha.

Hannah seems to latch perfectly straight away and feed for ages or faff and wiggle and whinge and then fall asleep when on.boob. monkey!

X

Opps!! ;-)

J just got up for feed. 3 hours sleep. Only fed from one boob tho before falling asleep. Just put him down in basket and he's starting to stir so will probably be on the other boob in a bit.

Good to see you Umbongo. Hope the ward is quiet for you. I hated hospital. Glad your little girl is feeding well. Xx

We got a side room as I had an anxiety attack type thing (first time ever) when they turned round and said they wanted to induce on Friday. At least I assume that's why! So that helps noise levels!! We have therefore got loads of stuff! Hubby was allowed to stay too but on a Camp bed and we thought at least one of us should sleep well!x
He's going to work tomorrow then picking me up after, assuming I'm discharged ok. Saves wasting a day's money

Madam wouldn't feed but then wouldn't settle in cot... Ended up back on boob. We always do. Ha.

Congrats Umbongo!

We did a great dream feed at 10.15 last night but the little monkey still woke at 12.40 then 3.10!! Hopefully just gone back down... Watch this space.

The boob solves all problems!!

Well J still sleeping. But DD woke up for a cuddle. I know what's gonna happen here. Once DD is back in bed J will wake up. They have started to play against me already and formulating plans together!! ;-)

Lucky you to get a side room. Xx keep on feeding. J feed on me all night in hospital too. So tiring.

Hey umbongo, welcome to the world of sleep deprivation! Nice to see you finally here. That's amazing about Hannah taking to boob so well, their tummys are so tiny at that age they only need tiny bits of colostrum & they are full, but it digests quickly hence why she's always on boob.

H was also tiny, and wouldn't latch atall :( I ended up expressing miniscule amounts of colostrum & syringe feeding every hour. Then I was expressing & giving bottles once my milk came in - watch out for that, you get dolly parton bazongas, then on day 4 he finally latched with nipple shields! Was the best feeling ever! We still use them now as he still won't latch without but I'm glad he's doing it none the less.

Anywayyyy, Harrison is awake again after 2 & a half hours, so seems our routine is still off :( I knew he would be up again as he only fed for 10 minutes & was zonked, didn't even stir when I put him down!

Glad u managed to get a side room bex!

My lo didn't settle between feeds. She fed at 2 and now, she was grizzling the entire time. Will be one tired mummy in the morning as she usually feeds for an hour then takes an hour to settle. I have to be out in the morning so can't even attempt a lie in. Can't wait till hubbys home!

Her blood sugars were all really good so we know she's feeding well, thank goodness! I would have hated to be the situation where they tried to suggest formula, as she's so ickle they'll be panicky with her weight for months I suspect! My sil has already suggested it so I can get more rest. I want to stay 100% breast though.

It's tiring but these nights together, just us, are so special.

Xx
