Hi ladies and welcome umbongo!! Hope all is going well?!
I've been up about half an hour now after M going go sleep about 11 so not bad and the usual really.. It's the next bit which is always the worst bit! Eyes are feeling super sore tonight. Gonna have to invest in some good eye cream if anyone has any recommendations? I could definitely see black bags forming under them today! Xxx

Mm no reccomendations but definitely need some myself! I wear glasses & I swear it enhances the look of dark circles x

Morning ladies. I'm up waiting in the kettle cooling to fill up a flask (I'm ff). Bex mega congrats on your new arrival, beautiful name. Glad you're both doing well.
Well my lo gave us a fright about 20 mins ago and started breathing funny like he was hyperventilating. We both leapt outta bed and my hubby just grabbed him. His nose is blocked so think he just panicked poor wee thing. He's settled now and back to sleep but I wanna be prepared with a bottle. He would normally take about 2oz at this time but he took 5 and a half at half 12 so we hoped that would do him til about 6 (new thing we are trying to try and get him to drop the 3/4am feed) fingers crossed it works!
Claire I use a simple roll on eye serum thing but to be honest there ain't no product on the market that could fix my dark circles now! I think I'll look permanently tired for the rest of my life lol. Nippy eyes are the worst, for me it's 6/7am that it's the worst ugh I just wanna sleep but baba is wide awake! !

its been a good night phew! I've had 6 and a half hours if I add it all together since I went to bed at 10. Hopefully get a couple more now and I'm happy

Well it seems Harrison has a new "routine" where he sleeps from 8.30-1 then is up every 2 hours 
not enjoying that one bit! X

Kay Kay that sounds terrifying I hope it doesn't happen again.

Awh thankyou I love it too, I just enjoy saying/writing it haha, and it really suits him. I was worried because we chose the name before he was born that he was going to come out & really not look like a Harrison, but as soon as he was born I knew it was the right name. Its quite unusual I think
Tonight I'm going to try, giving a dummy & cuddles when he wakes because I know for a fact he can go longer between feeds at night & he's only feeding for 8-10 mins (his normal feeds are 25-30) so obviously he's not that hungry x

Well thankfully Max didnt wake for his second feed until 7:45 which is good... But after waking at 3:30 he didn't settle again in his own bed until about 5:15 so not great for me! This 2 hours I'm up a night are killing me!! Good idea with the dummy Sara, I'm going to try and introduce it more when I move into formula before going back to work xxxx

Hi! I got those first couple of hours sleep then that was it!! No more! Whingy Hannah all night, massive poo explosion took ages to clean her so I think she got cold and then wouldn't settle in cot ever again!!!
She was only 5lb10oz!! Teeny. She's only 5lb5oz now but that's only a 5% drop so no concerns. They're pleased with her progess. All other checks are fine. Just waiting for a paediatrician to check as to very slightly jaundiced.
Hoping to be discharged later.
She latches well when she is calm... Sometimes gets in a flap like last night. I stay very calm and relaxed though and eventually she always calms down. I'm impressed with myself. So pleased she's feeding enough thougj.

It will get better. J wouldn't settle for the first few nights and many others wouldn't as I remember them saying. Maybe u will have the problem once at home buy it will get better :-D
Be great when u get to go home.
Anyway.. good night for me ladies. Happy today had 6 and a half hours of broken sleep! But thats really good :-D x

Oh I've got a grumpy baby today! I'm guessing cause he was up so much during the night, hes now tired! What a suprise...
