Nightfeeds Chat Thread

You know I can't even remember when max went down and I can't remember waking up more than now so I'm trying
To work out if he has woken before now and I forgot of if this is first time

These night feeds are all becoming a blur :/
Need to go loo though and he's feeding away which isn't great

I did this last night. Seren was up just before two and I thought I'd been up with her at 12ish but then when I stopped and thought about it I couldn't actually remember being up with her then. So I decided she must've gone from when I went to bed at 10 until 2 which isn't too bad but it certainly didnt feel like I'd had four hours sleep so who knows! These night feeds definitely do become a blur.

Another rough night here anyway, with or without the four hour stretch. Poor little thing still has a stuffy nose and was really suffering when I put her back down at 2.30. She was just grunting and wriggling and trying so hard to settle until I brought her in with me at 3.30. Then she slept slightly better and had one sleepy feed between then and now. Alarm has just gone off so need to drag myself out of bed to get DS ready for school, I'm struggling! Xxx

So for sime reason I fed at 3-3.15 and 5-5.15 then now. He woke at 7 but I ignored him and we both fell back to sleep until now. How can I be sure in the night that he doesn't want feeding? And is just unsettled like at 7? X

With Hannah I wait and see if she goes back to sleep... If she starts to cry or gets really agitated I feed. If they're really hungry they get more upset I guess.

How much milk is that in 15mins? I'm going to try a bottle this week, of expressed milk, to see if she'll take it. Might be able to have a drink on my birthday next wk if so!

We make a 4oz bottle and he rarely guzzles the lot, but usually takes 3oz in 15 mins during the night. Last night I waited for him to go bk to sleep and managed it! I had to get his dummy which for once he willingly took! He slept then for another 90 minutes before wanting feeding :) xx

Urggh ended up horrific for us.. After his first feed at 3:45 he was up hourly after that and woke at 8 properly. I think it's still his nose annoying him but nothing left to try! I'm exhausted, and sooo happy there's no school today! Have stuck baby tv on while I snuggle in bed a little longer xx

I finally got a decent night, been a bit dodgy lately. After 11.5 hours of cluster feeding yesterday she finally slept. Did approximately two 4 hour stints Soooo that is great! Just as well really.
Devon all weekend... Eek. Nervous how a change of scenery amd routine will affect her!! X

Probably our best night in ages, lo slept in her basket 8-11.15 & 11.45-3am :)

Had to co-sleep 3-6am but it is an improvement!

Only change was using a sleeping bag, hopefully things will continue this well or better! I really don't mind her waking in the night, as long as I can get her back down!

That's a great improvement, Yaaaay! I agree, I don't mind night feeds as long as they go back to sleep after! I had to feed 30 mins on each boob last night (4.30am) but she then slept well, so totally worth it!

We've had 2 great nights.. Serena tends to cluster feed in the evenings. . Hubby and I tend to sit up late together watching tv.. so Serena feeds happily away.. both nights she fell asleep at about 1am and didn't wake until 7.30am! !! Great apart from my poor boobs being set to burst. .. they were literally squirting not dripping whilst changing her lol... here's hoping it continues x

Wow that is amazing sleeps I'm so jealous!!

Max could've stay up tonight so I've given in and fed him last feed and he's fast asleep now.. Will have to join him once I'm all sorted for the morning, as god knows that night we have ahead! Xxxx

I've got the night dreads! So tired for some reason!
Gave Hannah her first expressed bottle tonight, she took 2oz in two stints. But then wanted boib and wouldn't drink last oz. I hated seeing her having a bottle. Weird.

We had a feed a 8.30 snd now 1.30 so not bad so far x

mummy to ds 11/7/11
mummy to dd 16/9/13

Well our feeds were 10pm then 1pm n he's just woke for another but his reflux kicking in n now he's screaming as he gulped the milk from me

Seren fell asleep at about 7, went until just after 11. Back down at 12 and awake again just after 3. Just winding her now. Hoping she's going to go back in her basket for a bit but this is when she normally becomes unsettled and with the stuffy nose as well it's unlikely! Hope everyone else is getting on ok, seems quiet on here so hopefully that's a good sign xxx

I remember feeling weird with first bottle too Bex.. But it is soooo worth it in the long run! Max will take anything now!

Well I was exhausted and went to sleep just before 10 and he only just woke so nearly 6 hours which is fab! Why do I still feel tired though?! I dread this next part of the night though... He's always good first half and it's anyone's guess from here... Xxxx

Jack went from 11-4 :-) just had his bottle and hoping he goes for another few hours now but I won't complain as I had a lovely 5 hours! X
