Nightfeeds Chat Thread

Morning ladies. Our routine seems to have slipped badly too, she's woken at 12.30 last night abd tonight :-( plus she just won't accept a deep latch again! Aaarrrgg

Oh dear ladies. Hope your naughty babies behave for you soon.

Well, I was out for 2 hours last night. I left a happy baby & OH & came back to a screaming baby & OH in tears! Apparently she'd just screamed the whole time I'd been gone. Eventually managed to calm her down & she was asleep by 11. We're awake now for a feed at 3:30. Really hope she goes down without crying. I could really do with some sleep!

This is ridiculous.Iliteralky don't know what to do. I've been up now 4 hours. She keeps throwing up every feed and crying constantly. She's been changed, re dressed, winded, had a tummy rub, swaddled, cuddled...I'm all on my own and when I called hubby all he said was "well tomorrow you will have to sleep when she sleeps" completely forgetting that the last two days she has refused to nap in the day. Plus I use any time she's asleep or just not crying to have a shower and eat.

I've had to put her down and leave her to cry (she's not screaming but is def crying) because I'm getting really frustrated with her.

I've even tried giving her formula as I don't think I'm producing enough milk. She threw that up too and screamed when I tried to give it to her.

I've got a splitting headache, sore throat, ache all over and my glands are up

Why does this always happen when hubbys away :-(

I feel like the worst mum in the world right now. I can't provide enough food for ny daughter, I can't get her to settle and I've had to leave her to cry. She's only 6 weeks but boy she's testing my patience.

Hope you are all having a better night

Xx

Mummy to my beautiful girl born 9/8/13

Oh no spin! Sounds awful :-( im really sorry. If you really want to eecspe the noise... but some headphones in. It doesn't make you a bad mum. Even I have to get away from J and he isnt that bad in all fairness. And your not chosing how much milk you provide, so don't stress too much. Have you taken her temperature?

I was right in predicting J would wake at 5 again. . Don't know why its changed!???

I really hope she settles spin, you've got a very trying baby, she's bound to be a perfect teenager xxx

Hannah slept 4 hours in the basket! First time in ages! She was swaddled and had a dummy. It seemed to work. Then fed at 3.30am and changed at 5.30am and feeding ever since. Still so snuffly poor thing.

4 hours straight without cosleeping was like a miraculous dream!!! X

Yey Bex that's brilliant! I got 3 decent hour long sleeps in the night with Henry next to me. He just won't settle in his basket at all. Will try swaddling him later and see if that works x

No last night was atrocious! He slept from 8-1.30 then was up for an hour & a half! So back to sleep at 3, then up at 4.30 for an hour, so back to sleep at 5.30 then up at 7 & he's still up :( :(

I'm so tired & I have a scan this morning so can't go back to bed :(

Oh dear spin & saraLouise. Your nights sound awful.

Thankfully E went straight back to sleep. Woke up 6:30 & read for the day. We're off to our baby massage class now!

Sara your night was similar to mine. I feel dreadful and am up feeding again before the school run. The bags under my eyes this morning are disgusting!!!!! Spin sorry to hear you've had a bad night again, it was going so well hopefully it was just a one off?! Xxxx

Yay umbongo thats amazing!

Sorry to the others who had bad nights.

Well looks like Joshua has come out of his routine and started a new one. The last two nights, he woke at 1.30 (I left him until 2 today) then at 5, and stayed in his basket until 8.

It used to be 2.30 then 6 then in bed with me till 8. But he seems to prefer the basket and must want to sleep through to prevent being with me! Lol xx

Sounds like loads of you had bad nights! I know the feeling from Sunday night however max was a very good boy last night! I can't complain at all. Glad your feeling better bex and Hannah settled for you! Xx

Aw Spin it can be so frustrating! I found with my lo she screams her head off and I keep trying to feed her burp her etc but it turns out she is tired in the end and if I hold her on my chest and bounce her and pat her back she falls asleep. Might be worth a try if you've exhausted all the other options!

I don't produce nearly enough milk for my lo, she mostly has formula. It doesn't make you a bad mum, bf is hard and not everyone can do it but you've tried and that is all that matters.

It's hard to remember at times but your lo knows you're her mummy and she loves you

Had lo sleeping on my chest for half an hour, really need to get up and make up a bottle and put our beef stew on for din din...

Now do i try the slightly risky bouncer with vibrate on or brave the very risky moses basket!?

I'm sooooooo tired!!!! God I miss a full nights sleep :( x

The sleep deprivation has been the hardest thing for me since having H!

Yes! But she woke up after 5 minutes anyway and did a massive poo!

Put her in the basket twice today though, trying to get her used to it, both times she has woken within 10 minutes... little bugger!

Hannah has slept all day in the basket, she has just woken for feeds. Almost worried! Too perfect!!!

umbongo Aurelia has been the same, but at night she wants attention so getting very little sleep unless OH takes her for a walk. x x x
