Well as you prob gained from the title ive become horrificly fat these last few months :-( Ive gained almost 3 stone and gone from a lovely size 10 to a size i dont even dare guessing :-(

I went to my wardrobe earlier and was depressed to find absolutely sod all that fits. I dont think i really realised because ive been in work clothes up to now and not much else.

What is everyone wearing now? I cant afford to buy lots of lovely maternity clothes but i soooo dont want to resort to being fat and clad in chav type joggers and stuff

Awww I'm not sure if they would actually class you obese with weight gain while pregnant.
Leggings are good with pretty tunic tops and they're comfy. Or jeans and nice tops? I look daft in long dresses because I'm so short so I just look like a big fat ball in a dress haha.
I think smess likes her joggers so I was giggling at your last comment. I don't usually wear joggers but was thinking of buying a pair for when I leave hospital because they're really comfy.
I got a lovely top from new look the other day but I haven't bought heaps of maternity clothes because its expensive and you're not really in them for long. I bet when baby arrives you will be so determind to lose the weight that you will!

Ah Cherelle, I feel your pain honey. 3 stone over a size 10 won't be obese though chicken, try not to feel too down. I went to an NCT nearly new sale and got some really cheap maternity stuff, maybe you could see if there's one near you?

Chin up,

xx

Cherelle I had to chuckle at your title though "newly obese" Like wish says I'm sure you wouldn't be classed as obese. I don't keep scales in the house but I'd love to know how much weight I've gained.......or maybe I wouldn't. I was classed overweight before I fell pregnant so I'm sure with my weight now going by BMI I'd be classed as obese..

Well I live in leggins and occasionally my jeans. I wear them with Uggs when it's cold and my rifts when it's hot.

Tops, I just wear what I had before if they're not too short, so hoodies, a long vest top under a low cut shorter top. I'm always layering cos I think it looks cute.

I'm sure you're just a little bigger but not as big as you think and it's just cos you're not used to it.

Bet it will just drop off you after you've had little man. Xx

Thanks Wish the NCT sale is good idea - might ask the midwife and will look online too.

Pinky - i feeeeel obese!! I dont keep scales either but i keep weighing myself whenever i go to mine or OHs parents and i need to stop torturing myself by doing it!!!

Dont mean to cause offence to anyone who wears joggers lol!!!! I wish i liked them now but ive always been a girly girl and i miss my skinny jeans soooooooooooo much! I dont even think i could wear any type of jeans now - i feel too fat for jeans! x

Thanks Lexus - i hope ill lose it afterwards. Im going to be so strict with my food and get into the gym as soon as i can!

I cant even fit into any of my old tops or hoodies now! I did buy some converses the other day because theyre comfortable and look nice with most things - i think i might go find some nice leggings and vest tops x

I'm too fat for jeans now too...apart from my maternity ones which I virtually live in! A bargain at 5 quid!!! :)

I also got some stuff from Mothercare yesterday from their sale rack, a little black skirt for a fiver and a really nice shirt for £7. Shop around girl! I know I shouldn't buy too many maternity things but they're just soooo comfy and I don't like to go to work in the same things all the time.

xx

I don't think you're being offensive we all like different things. I look like a tramp in joggers, just can't pull them off. Its probably a good thing you don't have scales then, I know for me I just torture myself and get really obsessive.

Like Lex says it'll drop off after your little man arrives, especially as you're young and you were slim before. Are you going to breast feed? Thats supposed to help with your weight too.

x xx x

Ahh, I feel your pain - however, I am chavving it up in my trackies as we speak, lol!
There is no way I can afford to buy any more maternity clothes, so I literally look like pants all the time now - im getting to the point where comfort is my main priority, lol!
I quite like leggings and pumps, but I walk to work and back, and I found walking in pumps quite painful as they are so flat!
Ive just given up now!

Go for the baggy surfer look :)

Mum was at an nct sale today, where she is, in Berks.

Right - bad news - our next one is 21st may!!!

I've abandoned my maternity clothes, mostly, because out of all the stuff I was given etc, the stuff that wasn't mahoosively too big for me, even the things I kept don't cover the bump anymore and I'm sick of wearing bump bands (which fall down!) to cover the gap.

Only thing I found that worked has come from H&M - was in there again yesterday. You're in town tomorrow I think, I've got to collect the bus from it's MOT but I could come into town if you wanted - otherwise, pop up to H&M at the further end of town to the station, I've got 4 of their stringy tops, they reach so far down that they cover everything and still look nice - cling to the curves and make you feel sexy again. Trousers-wise, you could try a bump belt that makes your usual trousers do up - but you'd definitely want something to cover your zips/buttons then, as even with their design it can still feel weird.

Gimme (another, sorry, will reply!) email if you do want company tomorrow.

Lol hehehe I love my joggers for dosing indoors lol and of a evening as my skinney jeans the buttons on the sides dig in. Very uncomfortable.
I have two pairs of jeans one boot cut one skinny. My joggers for evening wear or when I am a skummy mummy in the morning lol so much fun watching the Mums look at me.
And leggings. I have also been wearing maxi dresses, long t-shirts and dresses as they fit nicely an d teaming with blazer or a military jacket do like to keep up with the fashion lol.

Hope your find something hun x x

Yeah im hoping to breastfeed Pinky - im hoping that helps too.

Wish - i have plenty of time to browse the shops now im on maternity so maybe ill find some bargains! Im thinking i should browse the many charity shops in Cardiff cos i know people how always get lovely things from them but i never think to go to them x

Ooooo I got a lovely dress from a charity shop the other day to wear now and after. It was mango abd cost £3 only realised after its silk lol. My beautiful Bargin lol. X x

Thanks everyone.

PH - yeah ill be in town at some point tomorrow, need to take my phone back too. Ill email you. I havent heard of the bump belt? But im too fat to fit into ym old trousers anyway - even if the waist fitted!!! ol

x

Aww you dont look that big from your pics cherelle! I thought mine was mainly bump but im struggling to get my normally baggy trousers past my knees now so im guessing its not. Ive no idea what I weigh but going for scan and docs appointment today so she'll let me know. She always make me feel huge though and tells me Im putting too much weight on :( Il let you know what im upto later .. I was just 9 stone when I got pregnant :S
