well i introduced myself in the correct place and now thought I'd pop over here where I belong atm

For now I'm in the WTT group as my fiance is waiting to get a test to see if he is a carrier of Cystic Fibrosis, fingercrossed that comes back clear and aslong as my doctors all give me the go ahead (looking good so far) we can then officially start trying.

I have been on the pill (Loestrin) for about 6 years now and on sunday decided to take no more so have stopped from then, period arrived today and hopefully my system won't take forever to get back to normal and i'll get AF (just learning all these abbreviations) regularly from here.

I'm really hoping although will try not to get my hopes up that I will fall pregnant VERY quickly, within the next 4 months as we are getting married in late April/early May 2012 in Florida and I would like at least 4 months from giving birth to the wedding. If I don't fall by April then will we stop TTC until after the wedding as I don't want to get married while pregnant (my dress is already ordered) and also of course can't even travel after a certain time not that my hospital would let me anyway as having CF they will want to be keeping a VERY close eye on me during the pregnancy which I'm hoping will all happen fine without any need for fertility treatment.

Im also bridesmaid twice next year and going on some hen nights abroad trust my besties of all time both decide to do it this year. Hence me putting everything on hold!!!!

How long have you been WTC so far? I can't wait till it's time when we are TTC and I can't believe i'm even saying that after always thinking I never wanted a child.

It's going to take me a while but I'm just trying to learn all the lingo on here atm and how it all works plus everything I should know about TTC, seems like so much to learn right now.

Thats lovely you will be bridesmaid twice next year even though it means putting the baby making on hold

Im still learning the lingo!!! and the smilies haha. I was going to try in November until my friends sprung that one on me and made me pay for the holiday upfront and yes its something like ayia Napa!! Not the best place if your trying to have a baby!

Its great youve come on here first its good to know the ins and outs and everyone hear is going/been though it and can give u real life advice not from a text book!!!!! How old are ya now? have u been on the pill for long?

Oh no that's a bit rubbish and unfortunate, no Ayia napa isn't really the best place to go pregnant oh it must be quite fustrating for you.

Yeah it's really good to hear advice & experiances from real people who are trying, pregnant etc rather than just reading a book.

I'm 27 next month I can't believe I'm almost 27 haha, how about you? I've been on the pill for around 6 years, maybe nearly 7 and have to say the only thing about TTC is I'm going to miss being on it, i loved the convienance of just being about to keep taking it if I didn't want a period one month which I have to admit to doing quite often , hopefully it hasn't caused any problems.
I took my last one on sunday.

Yes I wished they had planned these weddings this year haha but never mind gives me a bit of time to sort out my cycles and see how im doing. The convienece is great and ive done the same for years not had breaks and if im honest not taking the pill as I should thats why I want to find where I am. Not to give to much info but AF (aunt flo period) lasts one day and only about 8 hours?!? im not sure what thats about hence me coming off it to see whats going on there.

so whats ur plan then? Coming off the pill now and going to use other protection or just see if it happens now? You taking folic acid? x

My bodies been the same while i've been on the pill, to be honest I've probably only had about 4 week long breaks in it this year and have missed one often and my periods this year during my breaks were hardly non exsistant (a few hours for one day or so if anything) since I took the last one on sunday I thought AF had arrived yesterday morning but it was really light and lasted around 10 hours but was back again when I got up today and has been pretty light again so I don't really know whats going on atm hopefully this on/off thing won't go on too long and I can start to figure out how my cycle is.

I doubt we'll use any other protection, fiance doesn't like condoms and it would be weird using them again after 4 years i think so we'll take a chance as I doubt I'd fall that quickly and if I did it wouldn't be a bad thing.
Going to start taking folic acid from monday.

How long have you been of the pill for now? i guess you are using other forms of contraception at the moment?

Strange yeh mine are the same really light and blurgggh. Im coming off the pill beginning of January and my fella is the same not into condoms and weve never used them cause I knew he was gonna be my fella from the start I dont do one night stands lol! Well hopefully we will both see a change in AF and it will be regular n more normal. When I was young they were major heavy and painful they nothing like that now! Glad to hear its not just me that doesnt like having periods and missed a few!!!

My plan is therefore well, condoms if he will....pull out method n not have sex when im ovulating when I finally find out how long my cycle is and what the hell my cycle is!!!!! If I get pregnant it would be great because im taking folic acid and not drinking anymore, Major detox, but I will often to check. But after 12 years on the pill I doubt I'l catch straight away!!!

Bet u cant wait for ur wedding, im gonna do mine in cyprus, but I suppose he gotta ask me first haha. x

Well as you admitted to not using condoms with your partner, i'll be honest and we didn't either. Like you I knew we were going to be together and I didn't have one night stands so it would be so weird using them now - didn;t want to admit that before inacse anyone got a bit judgemental about it.

I hope we both start to see AF become regular and more normal too, before I started the pill i wasn't really regular at all so I'm hoping that won't happen again but I guess as long as i'm ovulating it don't really matter.
I'm also glad to read it wasn't just me who skipped periods while on the pill, I was beginning to get worried i was doing myself damage and was hoping there was others that did the same thing.

Hope you get that proposal soon we were thinking of having the wedding in Cyprus - i love it there, but then I had my heart set on Disneyworld so that's where we settled on in the end and I can't wait, though I can't believe I'm not trying to get pregnant and have a baby before. x

Awhhh Tink Disneyland sounds amazing! I never thought u were going there thats a better plan, are any family going or is it just the both of you? Marriages have gone way out ofhand costing £50 per head for people to EAT!!!! no thanks, its about the Love and vows not impressing anyone. Besides ave a good knees up with the friends and family when u get back!

I know its awful for using anything when I started with him, and I dont recommend it to anyone because I did go for testing and its not nice waiting for results But I did date him first and it was all very romantic LOL!!!!! Cheesy but true. My friend used protection until she got him tested - not romnatic but in this day and age I would probably recommend it!!!!

Yes like you say I hope to see AF coming in nice and regular and i would be interested to see when and how I was ovulating. I have NO CLUE at all how long my cycle is, period and other large words people use. So I will get writing in my diary to see where I am!! Do u know how long urs is? and how to use the ovulating sticks???? I have noooooooooooo clue!!!

It will only be a small wedding less than 15-20 guests, just close friends & family which is what we want rather than spending a stupid amount of money for a big wedding over here where everyone that we haven't even seen in years would turn up.

I have no clue how long my cycle is either, I ordered some of those ovulating sticks from ebay as i figured they would be a good way to check I even am ovulating a worry of mine that I won't be for ages as I've been on the pill for quite a while. They should be here next week and hopefully with instructions as I'm not really sure how they work either, i'm trying to read as many threads on here ar the moment to try and get my head around all this ovulating stuff, when in the cycle is best to have sex etc

Do you know how many children you want? or have any preferances on a boy or girl?

We only want the one and I'd be happy with a boy or a girl as long as he/she is healthy but I have to admit I would love a little girl

Im the same as you tbh! Love a lil weding with just the people I love themost! I want 2 and dnt care just wishing for them to be healthy and they look like their dad not me haha! I was going to order those sticks but from reading on here they say the cheap ones dont show and worry them more! The boots ones someone sed where the best and show the lines better!!! But they expensive! Instructions for them both should be given or just google it, not that I recommend googling everything as most of the time it causes me worry!!!
