Hi Ladies!

I am brand new to this site but wanted to share my story!

My OH & I decided just before Christmas that we wanted to try for our first baby (sooooo excited!).

So just before Christmas I came off the pill.

Due to the excitement of Christmas and having 3 birthday visits to do on Christmas Eve I can't quite remember weather my last AF was Tues 15th Dec or Tuesday 22nd Dec.

So last Sunday (17th) I did a test just incase the 15th Dec was my last AF because Tues 12th Jan should have been the next AF - the test was negative.

So i'm now thinking my last AF was 22nd Dec after all which means my next AF should be due today.

I know coming off the pill can mess up my cycle's so the only question I really have is - how long should I wait before testing if my AF doesn't come today?

I've never really suffered from AF symptoms so I wouldn't know if/when she's going to turn up!
Because the test was negative last Sunday I am now desperate for her to arrive so that me and my OH can get started on trying to concieve this month.

It's the very first time we have tried to concieve a baby so we are quite confused about it all!!

Welcome to PF! You will probably do your body a favour by leaving it at least a month before TTC after being on the Pill, to let the "fake" hormones out of your system anyway. Lucky you not having major AF problems - that I DO envy you!

Hope it happens for you soon - we're in our first month of "not trying, not preventing" and probably the first time in my life I can't wait for the witch to arrive so I can actually start charting (on the sly )

Hi Toffee pop!

It sounds like we are in the same boat!! Waiting for something we usually hate to happen NOW!! lol (When is your AF due if you don't mind me asking?)

We weren't conciously trying to concieve last month because we knew 99% that I wouldn't concieve straight after coming off the pill. The only reason I tested last Sunday was because I thought my AF was late which she obviously wasn't lol

I too can't wait to start charting, although I said from the begining I wouldn't do all the charts/calandars and stuff i've had a little look and it seems very interesting, plus me and my OH like to know everything about everything and we are so excited about what might happen in the next few months it looks like charting is the way to go lol

Will you keep me posted on how you get on? Coz it'd be nice to have somebody going trough the same thing!

Hope your AF comes soon (Never ever thought i'd say that! lol)

Hiya Claire - no idea when AF is due as I had a coil in and only had it taken out at the beginning of the month so I have no idea when AF should appear (though thinking 25th ish of the month if I'm half right)

I also keep saying I won't chart, I won't temp , I won't this..and have promised myself not to get obsessed about everything as even my doctor said "Don't STRESS! It makes it worse" so am not writing everything down...yet Watch this space!

I'll be posting on here lots, don't worry - and good luck with it all!
