Hi
I'm roxi a mum of a 2yr old boy and currently pregnant with our second! I have real concerns about this baby as my son was born. naturally at 10lb 4 and half oZ and i am worried that next baby will be larger!!
I dont have diabetes and additionally I am small frame, size 10 (9st 6lb) and suffered badly with SPD with my son.

Any advice on previous experiences with having large babies or anything I can do to help prepare for this birth  would be welcomed!

thanks

stay away from the biscuit tin!!!! no seriously i know a girl who has had a baby very recent and he was 12lb!!! she somehow managed natural? however the doctor said it was very big for her frame, and told her that she had been eatin far too many choc, sweets ect and said that all the sugar has put wieght on the baby.she totally agreed that her sugar intake had been bad!
there are specifics diets available on the internet if you are really concerned! not silly diets just ones that will help your wieght gain? also exsercise is very good for keeping the size of the baby down apperently? have a look on the net on excersizin whilst preg ect..dont worry yourself thou, this one may not be as big this time round gud luk doll x

Hi Roxi

Welcome to the forum and congrats on bump #2

Would your MW refer you to talk to a consultant to discuss your concerns? It may be worth asking.

x

Hey :)

Fingers crossed you'll be lucky this time round and have a smaller baby. That's what happened with me!

Will you be offered an extra growth scan later on in your pregnancy due to the weight of your 1st just to see what baby 2 is possibly going to weigh at birth?
