Anyone else given peanut butter on toast? K had it for breakfast was a bit scared cos of the common allergy thing but he was fine and liked it! Also loved mushroom rissoto tonight, last time if hated it and screamed!

I'm allergic to nuts so I'm not going anywhere near peanut butter.

Alice tried parsnips yesterday and absolutely loved them, just like daddy! I tried her with some chicken in Monday and she enjoyed that too :yay:

Holly loves peanut butter on toast. Had pasta with pesto, peppers and peas yesterday and couldn't get it in fast enough!

They're all doing well aren't they! I had the HV out yesterday and as I'm still bf she wants me to start C on some iron just to make sure he's getting enough. (he eats a lot of fruit/veg but not a lot of meat at the mo, just little bits of chicken etc)

So going to get some today. She also said that he's ok to drink full fat milk now, I said to her i thought in the uk we could only mix with food and not to drink until a year?? She said over here fine from 6 months onwards, so going to give him some milk to drink now too.

He had pineapple yesterday and absolutely loved it! Toast is also his favourite!

Holly loves mince - chilli, bolognaise, meatballs etc, also tuna fish and fish fingers which are all good for iron

We tried some burger for lunch and she loved it!! Had a few gags but she dealt with them really well and smiled once she'd spat out the food

He loves meatballs and has tried tuna. I'm going to do the receipt for mince burgers in the blw book soon so hopefully he will like them too. We were out for lunch today and he was loving peppers and bread today.

We had a bbq last weekend and Holly loved the burgers. Salad, potato, bread bun all hit the deck but the burger was a huge hit!

Kynon hasn't had much meat either so maybe I need to think about giving him iron soon too as Im still bf. Im vegetarian so he only gets meat when oh is home and can deal with it. I do give him plenty of green vegetables so hopefully that's ok!
He's been eating so well the last week or so and there's very little left, starting to wonder if Im giving him enough? he does deliberately feed the dog though so I have to watch!
Here's a pic from tonight with his frube yogurt!

fab pic Sarah. C is eating a lot more now too, this morning he had porridge, half a banana and some of my toast. I gave him Tuna mixed with philadelphia last night which he really liked.

Kynon has started rubbing his food all over his face on purpose, like he would his blanket, makes even more mess, anyone do this?

Hey ladies, not been on for a while...ah everyone's LOs are doing so well with BLW! I'm so glad we did it now....Freya is definitely starting to eat more. She wolfed down Tuna pasta, she loves pasta! We also went to a BBQ at my dads and she tried a bit of everything! I also love eating outside with her, especially at someone else's house lol, as less mess! :)

We're going to Scotland for a week tomorrow, so might try her with some hagis and iron bru lol.......maybe not!!!!

Also just while I'm on.....I feel like I'm always giving LO sandwiches for lunch as that's what we tend to have.....just wondering what everyone else gives for
Lunch? Thank u xx

Where about in Scotland are you going smith?
I often get stuck with lunch too, we had hummus pitta bread and salad today.

Ooow I've not tried her with humus! Thank you....do you make it or buy it?

We're going to my aunties in Mauchline for the weekend. Then on down to castle Douglass for the week :) our first little family holiday! Feel like ive packed the house lol xx

That will be nice, hope we get the Sun back up here though for you!
Kynon love hummus, I just cheat and buy it but i did buy some chick peas with the intention of making it, I never seem to have time though!

Aw thanks hun where abouts are you?

I'll have to try her with hummus then thank you! It's so hard to think of new things all the time! I find myself always giving her sandwiches! Xx

We're in Dundee :)

We had a 'moment' tonight! Kynon has been eating melon for weeks now but tonight he swallowed a massive lump (he's quite greedy and stuffs it in) then he cried loads and vomited it back up along with his dinner! Gross! Must have hurt going down I guess.

Aw poor Kynon, hope he's ok. The C man does the same, he puts so much in his mouth, I sit and watch him and suddenly he swallows the lot!!! It amazes me watching him eat :)

My parents are visiting so we were out for tea tonight. I ordered off the children's menu for C. So he had some chicken, chips and there was also a salad bar. It was chicken breast which he enjoyed even if some of it ended up on the floor lol. I let him try some chips (first time ever, hubby ate the rest of them:lol:) and I got pasta, melon, pineapple and lettuce from the salad bar. He wasn't sure about the lettuce but he gave it a go. He then had a spoonful of hubby's ice cream. His fav is still melon and banana.

Loving blw.) today was first proper day ie with cooked food ad opposed to last week whilst we were away and so was just fruit, cucumber etc. F had porridge fingers this morning which she loved and swallowed a fair bit. Some salmon/broccoli/pea and potato finger type things I made for lunch and another one for dinner with us, plus some plain broccoli (not very popular) and some cheese. Food shop arrives in the morning containing mangos which she loves. I leave the skin on so she can grip it and she peels the flesh away with her gums and then drops the skin for the dog! She's taken to it instantly, nappies have changed already! Thought it'd be ages before that! So proud!) x

Sounds like she's doing brilliant Lettie! Never thought to leave the skin on mango, I'll try that next time!

What do you guys give for breakfast? Most cereal has too much sugar or salt, we've done porridge fingers, pancakes, toast, fruit, egg (which is the only food he doesn't seem keen on) and today weetabix, but I won't give them too often as the fibre is quite high!
