Is anyone else v excited about having a new baby this Christmas? This is my first and so generally I don't know what to expect but it dawned on me today that I'm going to have a 2 month old this Christmas and I'm thinking it'll be magical! :swaddle:

I was thinking the same thing the other day! I go all out with decorations so with the house looking christmasy, it's going to be so magical with a baby too!! I can't wait :D

i will prob take my baby home to sweden over christmas so we both get fuzzed over!

i was talking about this with my dd going to be so weird usually it the 2 of us xmas morning for pressies befor going to family this year santa got an extra pile to bring going to be so special

To be honest I hadn't really thought about it. I think it did occur to me briefly over christmas time when I saw cute little christmas outfits lol, but I kind of think only in little time frames if that makes sense, i've broken the whole pregnancy down into little milestones. I'm looking forward to sitting out in the garden in the summer with my baby though, if that makes sense. Its all very exciting when you really sit down and think about it x

I know how you feel! I am due 8th Nov so am really looking forward to having baby for Christmas. We also have a family wedding in Feb and most of the people dont live in our town so will be a chance to show off our new arrival & also buy him/her a gorgeous cute little outfit to wear!! :family:

I'm a sucker for tacky, over the top xmas decorations - i can see myself going crazy with baby's first xmas stuff!!

This is my first baby too and I'm trying to think of new family traditions we can start! As we live in Norway, they give presents on Christmas Eve [we go to my Mum's in the UK for Christmas and last year I did a norwegian dinner on Christmas Eve for everyone (usually 13 of us) so I'll probably do that again] I have heard some people (in the UK and US) say that they open 1 or 2 presents on Christmas Eve. Some have said new PJs and maybe a special decoration to go on the tree? Anyone else have family traditions for Christmas? I can't think of having Christmas anywhere but at my Mum's with my family, as always a big do, but within that I'd like some little things that we do by ourselves as a family unit, if that makes sense.

Awww me too! Cannot wait. He or she will only be tiny, cant wait to put them in a cute (but not over the top) xmas outfit and get their little pile of presents ready. Aw so exciting! xx
