Negative birth stories!

People feeling the need to tell me negative stories about their sisters aunty cousins birth.

Seriously..
Come on!

I'm listening to my hypno birthing cd, bouncing on my ball, drinking raspberry leaf tea and I've got the incense on the go!

Please leave me in my positive bubble !

ha ha Im with you hun it makes me laugh when people commit the cardinal sin of telling a new mum to be the horror stories. Theyre not all like that...go read scandicemums labor and birth thread....now theres positivity for you xxx

no one is trying to tell me scary stories about birth so far, but sometimes people tell me how difficult my life is going to be when the lil one arrives... Thanks!

people are just funny like that I guess.

in my good luck card that I got from work when I went on maternity, one girl wrote "Hope the birth is not too painful". It just made me laugh That's not a sort of thing that you usually write in a card, is it? Thanks for reminding lol

The need to inflict there nans dads brothers wives stories on me!

It really annoys me too !! I have had to positive labours and always like to tell people so and one of them was an induction. So many people say how horrendous inductions r and it scares people my mil did that to me, but can honestly say it was no worse than my natural labour and I'm down for induction this time too. Think the main thing to remember is the end result and if u want them the drugs r there !!! Xxxx

I got the "oh youre life is going to change" I was like er thats the plan!!! Im in my late 30s and Im sure I can handle that, its never going to be WTF I didnt realise my life would change!!! ha ha some parents like to inflict their painful stories, re-write history and play the marter, if it was that bad people wouldnt do it time and time again and for every difficult moment there are about 10 great that make up for it. Its better when you have a second as they are like oh well youve had one now so we cant tell you anything you dont know

I've had a few negative stories and I'm only in tri1 so will prob hear a few more. It pisses me off, but I just laugh and say everyones experience is different. I also have people say how difficult its going to be after baby's born but like someone else said, I know my life going to change and I'm happy about that!

Lucy I just realised my ticker is wrong...

The original due date I got was 3/10 and they changed it to the 5/10 at
My 12 week scan!

Were close enough though Lucy!! Xx

even bad birrths wont put u off having more, my first personally to me was awful and i couldnt talk bout it for a week, by time she was 7 months old i was like i want another (not with the same twat though lol)

i suppose what could seem like a bad birth to one person may seem like a doddle to another person.

if they give u the bad stories take them into a positive way and think well if mine goes that way at least i know what to expect, how it will be dealt with and at least i'll make it through to the other side ready to scare the life out of others lol
