My son is 4 days old and is EBF with no intention of introducing a bottle any time soon. However my milk has come in and he tends to feed off one side and be full before getting to the next. I do the usual naopy change, switching sides etc but I'm guessing he's just very efficient at getting the milk he needs from the one side? I always change sides each feed so both my breasts are being stimualted. Anyway I guess what I'm trying to say is would it be okay/worthwhile to express the breast that he hasn't fed off that feed as I get very full and leak a lot. I don't want to have an oversupply problem as with my first I expressed a lot and ended up being very engorged and getting mastitis three times. I can keep the breast milk for a future date when I may feel I need it but don't want to be causing myself any problems by expressing!

I also forgot just how much newborns feed! Especially at night! Haha tired mama here but he's worth it!

Hey Kelly, I would absolutely recommend expressing the side he doesn't drink from and saving it all in the freezer. My little girl is 6 months and is now exclusively express breast fed due to problems I had but for first 8 weeks she fed from me but wouldn't touch the left hand boob so I always had to express that one. It means im only just now reaching the end of my freezer supply and to be honest I wish I'd saved more in the early months as I could do with it now! X

Thanks Rose :) I think I will. I dug out my breast pump before so just need to sterilise it all! It will definitely be handy for me I'm sure :)
