Nearing the end of my journey?

They tell you Fertility treatment is a journey but I think it begins long before then, so if I try to look at it that way, I’ve actually travelled quite far and am nearer the end than the beginning!


1. Finding a decent bloke
2. Waiting for him to be ready to have children
3. Starting to try for a baby but being unsuccessful
4. All the 2 week waits!
5. Waiting to see the doctor
6. Waiting for tests and referrals
7. Waiting for hospital appointments
8. Waiting for the results of procedures
9. Waiting for appointments for treatment
10. Waiting for more tests
11. Waiting for a prescription
12. Waiting for it to work!
(This is where I am now!)
Possible next steps:
13. Thinking about different treatment if we’re unsuccessful
14. Waiting to adopt!

I think your right I never really thought of it like that but we have all been on a journey alot longer than just starting the treatment. I hope im approaching the finishing line now... its gone on for too long... I always have a plan b lined up though, and a plan c d and e lol

yes its a long and heart ache filled journey. Personally i never really reached step one and so has a pre step one wait of around 20 years before I had to skip ahead to step 3!!
Its been a very hard journey for you , I m sending hopes for bringing a child home to your familiy no matter where it happens in that list.
