Hi everyone just wondered if any mums had any tips or recommendations for products to use on babies that are natural or has anyone made any your self. My LO has some dry patches at the moment - i know olive oil is ment to be nice and kind to the skin but what one do i use?

I'm using grapeseed oil just now for myself but it's apparently used as a carrier oil in baby massage. It's fantastic, absorbs quickly and doesn't leave you feeling oily at all! I got mine from Tesco, in the cooking oil section for £1.46 for a huge bottle.

a really great one for nappy rash

egg white, whisk til fluffy (like your going to make meringes) and smear on offending area with the back of a spoon

leave overnight

dries it up something lovely and really helps the skin recover x

Olive oil is perfect. It need to be safe to eat it's ideally to be used on tiny babes :)

its honestly really good, i have been using it on a sore on my leg and even in the heat it dries it up, acts as a barrier and is totally natural

as with most medicines for things like nappy rash, if you use a cold spoon or keep stuff in the fridge its soooo much nicer and soothing

also, Waitrose Bottom Butter is fabulous for everyday barrier/mosturising stuff but not so good for weepy nappy rash x

Apparently Waitrose Bottom Butter has been a real hit with the ladies - they have been limiting purchases, I think everyone is using it on their face as a night cream? I just bought two pots  Its gorgeous, has vanilla and olive oil in it.

There's a stall in Whitby full of completely natural remedies/products x they're online too but I can't remember their web address! I got a pot of pure shea butter and used it on DD as she gets really dry skin and he told me it's great as a barrier cream so going to get another pot for Seb x

Waitrose bottom butter works alot better too if you leave it in the fridge (i say works better, i mean lasts longer ;) ) because you dont scoop as much of it up ;)

I told Liam we were off to buy some bum butter and for the whole journey he thought i was making it up so that he would have to go and ask for some in the shop

funny boy.

Lmao x thats so funny! x the pure shea butter lasts ages because it's hard until you start rubbing it between your fingers! Then it softens and you can use it x we don't have a waitrose so no bum butter for me! Lol
