Was just wondering what the general way of disposing of nappies at night is? This is my first baby, and I have no clue lol. I have been looking at the nappy wrapper tubs, but not sure if they are worth the money? The refills seem expensive. Or do you just use nappy bags and dispose of them in the morning? I just don't want to be going downstairs and to the outside bin in the middle of the night, but I also don't want to stink out the house  xx

We've got one of the wrapper bins and while not an essential I really like it it stops the house stinking! You can get the refills cheaper if you shop around online x

We just chuck them in the bin in our room then empty them on the morning. Not stinky at all. Plus he only went through a pooping at night phase briefly now he barely ever goes at night. Wet nappies don't really smell much. Personally think a fancy bin is a waste of money.

I just put them in a nappy bag, leave on changing table and get rid of in morning. Like mellie, Caleb rarely does a poo in the night and the wees don't really smell at all x

We've got the Tommee Tipee sangenic nappy bin and while not essential it is fab, no smell at all so only needs emptying when full.

We just put ours in the bathroom bin, they don't smell too bad, especially if you use the scented bags. My son stopped pooping in the night by about three months.

My sister had one of those nappy bins and said it was a waste of money. She just uses hers now as a bathroom bin!

My nappy bin was one of my biggest wastes of money. Go to ikea and buy a cheap bin with a lid and just empty in the morning. Baby poo doesn't smell that bad anyway - not compared to weaned toddler poo!!

Maybe I'm gross but we put Bee's in the normal bin (in a nappy bag). Change the bin twice a week. James' poo nappies have to go out immediately ha

X

I had a nappy bin and loved it. We are in a 3 storey house so I couldn't put them out during the night. I bought 2 sets of the bigger cassette packs in a baby event fairly cheap and that's all I used. I used to just wrapt them right and then squashed them down. It would def be the first thing on my list! X

We still use our nappy bin. No way could I have managed taking nappies out during the day when she was little. Since she started solids we had to use nappy bags for dirty nappies and we keep it in the bathroom rather than her nursery, but we still only empty it every other day.

if you double bag them, they don't usually smell as long as they are airtight! lol

Yes we double bagged them in nappy sacks and Used place them on the landing out the bedroom just incase it did smell and dispose of in the morning

Like someone else said I live in a 3 storey house, we didn't get a nappy bin for ages as I thought they were a gadget and it wouldn't get used for long but we succumbed when we saw them on offer. Get the refills when they're cheap and because I'm very lazy it saves traipsing down lots of flights of stairs! Saves bags piling up which would likely happen as I'd likely keep forgetting to grab them and be too lazy to go back upstairs to get them!

Same here! I just put ours in the bin in our room and then first thing in the morning take them out to the bin outside.

metal bin with a lid from ikea in the bathroom(where the changing table is) double bag the stinkier ones and change once a day! x

We just have a normal bin with a lid next to the change table. We use nappy sacks and the bin gets emptied probably every other day when it is full.
