Has any of u managed to cut her LO nails at the age of 3 months?
I am dead sick of the thought of it even. i still make him wear mittens, is this ok? when is he able to grab things by his hands? i am afraid by making him wear mittens he won't be able to feel what he's doing with his hands!

I use a baby nail clipper to cut Louis's fingernails, I find it much easier to use than scissors which make me nervous. It was actually easier when he was a younger baby because now he is moving much more when I'm doing it... no accidents so far!
I had bought lots of scratch mitts but never used them so I can't tell you about their use. As for grabbing things he's been doing it without help for the past couple of weeks (I mean really grabbing objects and toys, not just my hair!).

when Hayden was really little i used to just bite his nails off!! when i tried using clippers and scissors the nails were too soft and his fingers too little..lol!

Same here :D

Yup, got to catch them when they are asleep really... less wriggling then!!!

at 3 months my LO could grasp things if they were put into his hand... he might like to get his hands back. Corey has scratched himself before, its gone after a day, and usually its only one nail that I missed the corner of or something, so I know to attack him again!! :shhh:

I do LOs nails when breastfeeding.

We did have a bit of an accident when she was tiny (perhaps the first time I was cutting her nail) and I caught her finger instead  . She cried a little but got quickly over it. I was far more horrified than her. I have been extra careful ever since!
