I've been feeling a bit nervous since finding out I was pregnant, you know the usual stuff, is it growing ok, will I miscarry, will I be a good enough mum but I don't think there is anything unusual with those worries, I've seen most of you on here have similar thought.

But last night was awful I woke up suddenly in the early hours of the morning with tummy cramps and I just paniced that something was wrong, ran to bathroom, no blood, it was actually just trapped wind
I'm such an idiot, but I was really scared and then I was crying because I was an idiot, oh dear. Still, it made me realise how much I already love this little seed growing in me. Just thought i'd share.

Oh any tips on getting rid of trapped wind (it was my own fault, I ate crap yesterday, been so healthy today).

aw bless :hugs: i done that one night in early pregnancy too mustard, glad it was just trapped wind x

I done that up till around 9 weeks with this LO. I had convienced myself something was gonna go wrong, but I seen our little bean yesterday and he was kicking away and the MW said 'happy and healthy'. Its natural to feel anxious, but try and stay calm and maintain positive mental attitude :) All the best chick xxx

I had a few bouts of bad pain early on and then realised it was related to constipation and trapped wind

I have a little bowl of brans flakes in the morning now and it keeps everything *ahem* moving.

I had it because of constipation too :( it's worrying isn't it? Glad everything was alright for you though :good:
water always helps keep me regular (lots of water I mean lol) x

Oh also plenty of water or liquid otherwise *TMI ALERT* my poo get a bit too solid and uncomfortable to pass. So sorry for the extra info but it is relevant.

Water by the bucketful it is then girls. Thanks.

:blush:I was the same the other night really really bad waves of pains in my stomach was laid in bed doulbed up thinking this is it this is not sticking, that was trapped wind too so :hugs:

Mints work too for getting rid xxx

Look up the I love you baby massage on youtube - it is actually for babies when they have trapped wind but I have found it is great to do on yourself as well - the pain has had me waking up at nights before I started doing that - and a bowl of albran in the mornings helps too :)

I agree with the girls! Lots of water helps! I also had a lot of stomach pains the other day and today I don't have any. I guess it just comes and goes;)

This is when I strangely feel thankful for having ibs! I know the difference between when I'm having wind/constipation cramps or if they're related to something else. I can understand completely how they would make you panic though! xx

Thanks you girls, as usual you have made me feel a lot less insane!

i am having pains in my stomach nearly every day feels like i need the toilet the doctor thinks i have ibs maybe that is it or that i am bloating but i'm 11=12 weeks is this ok

Oh great I thought this thread was nicely buried and you have just revived it Rach .
Only kidding.
I'm nearly 11 weeks now and while I am so much better than I was (I kinda know a bit better what to eat and what to avoid) I am definately still a bit gassier than I was before getting pregnant. You can see from all the replies I got that it is pretty normal.

That pain is all too familiar. I have been so constipated lately I have been suffering badly with trapped wind. At first the pain worried me so much. Then I changed my diet, lots of fibre and water then I suffered the opposite :/ and got worried again!

Can't wait for all the worrying to end it's driving me crazy!
