Well girls. Visited the GP today for something non-fertility related but decided to bite bullet and mention our year of unsuccessful ttc while I was there. Sounds really silly, but i got really anxious before going but she put me right at ease.

So the plan of attack is 21 day bloods next cycle as too late for this cycle (if AF shows this month that is) and I have a wee matter to discuss with my husband re sperm analysis too...

It's funny, I actually feel quite upbeat about it all at the moment; kinda feels like i have taken a little bit of control back, if you know what I mean.

Still have xfingers for this month though. This is the first cycle since the MUTHA of a period after my reflexology treatments. Lets hope that was just a good clear out and now it is all nice and cosy in there ;)

Hi Julianne,

Congrats! It's so hard to pluck up the courage. I did it a couple of months ago and it really does put your mind at rest. How was the reflexology, I'm thinking of having it but not sure what to expect. My periods are bad enough without it making then worse but I'd still love to try. Do you recommend it?

Good luck this cycle, how long have you been ttc?

Xx

glad you are feeling better, having a ncie gp must be good! good luck with the bloods and good luck to your OH and his ahem deposit!

Ha! One little thing the boys have to do and they get all shy!! Us girls have to put up with so much poking by comparison.

Glad you have got somewhere and feeling empowered by it, I hear its all about "the attitude". I'm trying to get "it" back after a disappointing AF show - eating popcorn for dinner on sofa watching bbc news and hoping they get the water cannon out probably isn't the way!:eh:

Fx for your tests:dust:

Thanks Girls!

AF has arrived which is very disappointing. Not to mention everything else along with it; i feel physically rotten!
I want to know what it's like to see a BFP so bad. Just feeling very sorry for myself today.

Joey - been ttc for 12 months now :( I know it is not long compared to what some of the girls go through but so frustrating none the less.

Re reflexology - I would definately recommend it. I know of two people who swear by it and got BFP straight after it. Although it hasnt quite happened for me yet i would still recommend it from a relaxation point of view.

x

Hi Julianne,

I'm going to book myself in for reflexology, I really feel that it could help me to get my mind and body in sync.

It's so hard each month, whether it's 12 or 24 months, the disappointment is the same. I just can't wait to see that BFP and I'm astounded St myself for not testing early each month. I'd go crazy if I do and I guess that's my sense of control, the one thing I can choose to do or not.

I really do hope you get your BFP soon. Each month is like a lifetime and I wouldn't wish this emotional rollercoaster on anyone!

Well done for staying positive, I need to do more of that!

Xx

hiya girls, whats a reflexology? does it help? im really curious!!! xx

Thanks Joey. I hope you enjoy it - I always sleep really well after it. I told my reflexologist about us ttc (that is my main reason for going) so she spent alot of time working on the reflexes that relate to the reproductive system. Let me know what you think of it and fx for a speedy bfp for you.

ab11 - reflexology is an alternative therapy where pressure is applied to the reflexes in the feet, although it can be done on the hands too i think. Think of it as an amazing foot massage. The reflexes are thought o be related to all parts of the body, which means that they can work on certain areas. I personally think it is really relaxing; probably not a good idea if you dont like people touching your feet though ;)

Whether it helps or not..... i know people who swear by it as they very quickly got BFP after a long time trying.

Good luck
