Jack alfie Willoughby was born on 29th March. Over 5 weeks early due to me having pre eclampsia. It wae all very scary and quick as I had none of the usual signs or symptoms of having pre eclampsia. I went for my scan at 34 weeks that was routine as I have bmi. Anyway I went for my scan and the lady just kept rescanning how much fluid was round baby. She then turned to me after what felt like an eternity and said that there was only a tiny amount of fluid around baby. And she would speak to a doctor. Anyway I came out of there and did a wee test for them. I then went to see the doc. He said that I had dangerous amounts of protein in my wee , that baby was in virtually zero fluid, my bp was high so I had pre eclampsia! I was like wtf?! Anyway I got admitted to the ward immediately. And they started doing test after test. They kept me in all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then they rescanned me. They then see that the fluid had reduces even more and decided baby needed to come out soon!. So at 10pm on the Thursday I was transferred to another hospital as they had a better baby care unit as they didn't know how bad baby was gonna be. I arrived there at midnight on the Thursday and they repeated all my tests. Friday morning I woke up they prepped for surgery and I went for my c section. 8 attempts for the epidural!! That was soooo traumatic its another story in itself!! Anyway at 1.28pm my little man was born , all 3lbs 14oz of him! He is being fed by tube but trying a bottle every day. he is amazing that he didn't need anything once he was born and he is getting bigger and stronger every day!! My Easter miracle and I love him beyond words!!
