I have the common problem of that the only was i can sleep is on my belly...

I know i shouldnt and i dont, i sleep on my left side, but i have woken up on my belly a few times and then worry all day...can i cause damage by this?? :(

The day will come soon when you just CAN'T sleep on your belly...I too wake on my belly sometimes, but recently i have been sleeping with a pillow like a teddy, it kinda helps keep me off it.... But with all the fluid, extra layer of pregnancy fat and our instinct, i think our bodies will wake us if it becomes a problem...or we will just be TOO big :rotfl:

Try the pillow... lv Yvonne xx

yea...mum told me about the pillow thing and it is quite helpful..also i do think that it wakes me up when i roll over but i wake up feeling so guilty..you think i can cause damage?

I really don't think bubs would let us stay on our tummy's long enough to cause damage... hence us waking up..... so i am not worrying about that side of things :rotfl: says a lot for me.. as i worry about everything. :rotfl:

and like i said, not be too long before it's impossible for us to turn that way... oh joy!!! :moon: :rotfl:

i love sleeping on my belly but have tried to refrain from this, i have found a comfy position, on my left side with a pillow between my knees. However as soon as little one is here i'll be straight back on my belly

The pillow thing does work, use one of those fluffy big types though! A friend suggested to me about buying one of those special made ones but I think along the lines of why pay out £60 when a normal pillow does the trick.

Also, my fella is a comfy pillow to me, he hates it and doesn't go to bed when I do now! He waits till I'm with the zombies and slowly creeps into bed, however, he is woken up by me lying on him, with a leg hitched up, like a fetal position

Think he is about to move into the spare room!

It shouldn't hurt your baby, they are protected by the placenta and water, when you're more pregnant, I am sure our bodies automatically won't allow you to sleep on your front.

I am finding sleeping difficult too. I normally lie on my side but lately I have been getting stitch like pains. I am now having to sleep on my back, propped up by pillows. Think I might try a wedge to see if I can get back onto my side.

I agree with fynemum about the wakening up. Your lo will let you know if they are unhappy. xx
