Hiya i know i havent been a member for long but just thought id let you all know Blake arrived on the 26th may 2008 weighing 6lb 2 n half oz he was full term by my dates but 37 4 by the scan dates!
If you remember i was asking how to bring labour etc on and the things i tried were sex sex and more sex lol but i think the thing that truly brought my labour on was nearly being in a car crash the day before i had him i was in the car with my partner and a car came around the corner quite a distance ahead on 2 wheels swerving right toward us it was horrific and the most scary experience of my life.
The car narrowly missed us but only because of my partners quick thinking and staying calm he managed to reverse our car avoiding the car all together and the bloody stupid car diddnt even stop to see if we were ok he just drove on we could have been killed!
Any way when we got home i had my feeling to pack the rest of my hpital bag and low and behold woke at 6am with pains every 30 mins for 2 hours then they went to every 15mins for 1 hr then off to the hpital i went as last labour was really quick and dd was ready to come out within three hours but needed c section.
When i got to the hpital i was 5cm dilated and wasnt even in that much pain i was quite suprised"
Midwife broke my waters as your not supposed to go 3cms or more when previously having a section that takes me to 11.45 am i had teh pethidine i think it is not sure the one that goes in the top of your leg and had gas and air!
I carnt belive how calm i was all the way through i had the gas and air and it helped unbeliveibly i carnt belive i diddnt get epidural or anything am dead proud of myself as i was sooo scared!
Was ready to push at 1.45 and by 2.01 pm he was born and the pushing out diddnt hurt at all it was a relief to be doing something constructive with the contractions!
I just want to let people know whos scared to have their baby that if you just stay calm and breath with the gas and air through the contractions you can do it cos if i can do it anyone can i wont even get a needle as im petrified but id have another child tomorow and i said this straight after having my son as i just couldnt belive how much it diddnt hurt lol
i mean yeah of course it hurt but it was a pain that i could deal with and it was a truly beautifull moment heres a pic of my baby boy Blake Gallimore!
