More brown stuff?!

Hi girls,

As some of you may know - I had a failed sweep yesterday, and a couple of hours later, found my pants were filled with brown blood.

I assumed this was just old blood, I had small amounts of it through the evening, but nothing at all when I woke up this morning so thought no more of it.

I've just been to toilet and my pants were covered in it again? No discharge or anything, just brown blood.

Do you think this could just be more old blood from near the cervix? Just seems strange that I hadn't had any - and have now seemingly had another "gush" of it?

I was also randomly sick a few times during the night, which hasn't happened since 1st tri - I don't feel ill, or have stomach ache or anything, so wondered if that might be related?

Any advice / opinions would be so appreciated!! Thanks girls xxx

I have had a spell of brown blood "old blood" as the mw's call it. Mine lasted for a week solid. It also happend after I got up one night/morning around 4am and thought I was urinating but I wasnt, I looked at the paper and it was covered in red blood and the toilet was filled with it too. I went and got a swab done but came back with a little infection when I had the brown stuff. Its an infection that they dont really want to give you any tablets for. You should go and get it checked out if you are worried. I was at the maternity unit 3 times when it happend and had a scan and listened to baby's heartbeat to make sure baby was ok. xx

It's a bit weird that there's been a gap between the first lot and this lot..if there was a load of old blood you'd expect it to come out all together really. I would ring midwife and see what she says, just in case

Mine came for a solid week and then here a day then not here for a few days then here for a day and so on and then eventually just stopped though ?
