Sorry to hear about surgery - I had to have a spinal and episiotomy/foreceps with my son. I remember that sore feeling.

Don't be afraid to ask for any painkillers etc. They usually pop a long lasting one up your bottom - they did with me anyway - it was heaven - weirdly x
