Had my early scan this morning. They're 90% sure Ive had a missed miscarriage. Well they're sure but she's not allowed to say that until they Rescan in a week.
What are my options? Do I have to have a d&c at this stage or what?

:( oh what?! :( Simone xxxx no words, I'm gutted to be reading this.

Oh Simone I'm realy sorry :-( how fucking cruel this life is sometimes :-( I've had 2 mmcs I did try for medical managed with my first but it was horrific for me it didn't work all I had was horrendous pains lots if bleeding n clots but my body still refused to let go .. Second one my baby had stopped at 7 weeks and I was 10 weeks wen I found out so my body was still thinking all was ok I had all the symptoms still so it looked like my body was not gonna do its thing again so I opened for the Erpc I couldn't go through that again and I wanted the control bk and I wanted it over with ASAP ... Midwife told me sometimes with mmc the body just will not let go as it doesn't realise what's happening :-/ very cruel and seems my body does this each time , u can wait it out for it to happen naturally but it can take weeks or it can take days no one can tell u exactly how long or u can opt for the medical managed option which is a tablet one day then next day a lessees to make ur cervix open and what not then there is the Erpc ... Again I'm realy sorry Simone u know where I am if u need to talk massive hugs xxxx

Oh Simone, I am so sorry for your loss.

As JoJo has said, life is so cruel sometimes but you don't have to have a D&C if you don't want to. I personally found it easier as there is a lot less bleeding and pain with it but each to their own.

Take care of yourself babe and rest as much as you can. Massive hugs xxxxx

Omg simone im so sorry , life really is not fair at all xxx

I had one at 11 plus 5 , baby had gone at 9 weeks ish . Opted for d& c , had to wait 4 dsys snd night before d&c i started mc myself and bled like tap for 4 hrs, ended up with blood transfusions and still needed d&c

I like them as no pain after and it was done do i was out of limbo.

You look after yourself hun x x

Hugs simone, I'm so sorry to read this. Sometimes life is so unfair.

I had a mmc when baby was 10 weeks (found out at my 12 week scan) and had d and c the next day. No problems at all physically.

I'm so very sorry hun, big hugs.

I had a missed miscarraige last year - was meant to be 10+6 but they told me baby had stopped growing at 8weeks and had no heartbeat.

I did start to naturally miscarry but I found it so painful that I rang up the following day and asked for a d&c. I had to wait another 24 hours but I feel I made the right choice by having the miscarriage surgically managed as for me the scariest thing was the thought of seeing my baby in the toilet.

I did bleed for 6 weeks after though, I'm not sure if you would bleed for so long if it was a natural or medically managed miscarriage.

Thinking of you xxx

Oh hun. So sorry to read this. Xxxx

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

So sorry Simone, how devastating for you. :( Im so sorry! x

So shocked and upset to read this! absoultely awful.

I'm guessing they will not push you to do anything until after the re-scan and by then something may have happened on it's own - but otherwise I presume you will be given the option of medical management or a d&c or to wait it out.

so very sorry for your loss.

Oh Simone, I'm so sorry. I'm with GG&C and was told that up until 12 weeks surgical management was an option, but after that, then they would only do medical management. So it really depends on how far along you were when baby died.
Thinking of you xx

I'm so sorry, i think missed miscarriage has its own special place for heartache as you are so unprepared for it.
I've had 2 D&Cs and would always go for it if offered as it is over in one go and I've never bled for more than a week afterwards.

I'll be thinking of you this week, I hope it passes quickly for you.

So so sorry to be reading this, life is cruel :-( x

My fear with the d&c is that last time I was under general things didn't go well and they had to wake me up quickly as my oxygen levels wouldn't stay up. But I don't wanna be sway from my kids any longer than I need to be.
Might just be my imagination but Im having some light cramping. I hope things happen naturally soon xx

Hi, I'm so so sorry to read this. I hope you're ok.
I had two last year, both at 11+4. I don't know when baby died the first time but it was 10 weeks the second time. Physically the first one was quick and relatively "easy". The second time took around three days and was not great.
My personal choice if it happened again would be surgical management but if you are affected by general anaesthetic, natural may be best.
So sorry again xx
